If you haven't already, take a look at the kayfun Lite [plus] and kayfun Prime. Both are excellent MTL RTA's.

The KFL airflow goes from a very tight MTL to a max of 1.2mm via the adjustable Aerokon AF design. It's a bottom fill RTA.

The Prime has six stepped AF options (1mm, 1.2mm 1.4mm, 1.6mm, 1.8mm, 2.0mm). Top-fill RTA with JFC.

I have a couple of each. My kayfun lites are from 2019, those have a max AF of 1.8mm. SvoëMesto discontinued the KFL19 and replaced them with the newer KFL's with the Aerokon AF system. I bought an Aeorkon upgrade for one of my KFL19's, wide open at 1.2mm it's a really nice/smooth MTL.
I'm curious, if you don't mind me asking, do you not enjoy the Kayfun X, or just not recommend it because you haven't tried it yet? Perhaps there are some characteristics you find off putting?

Just started looking at newer Kayfun models recently (because I really like this KFL V2+ clone), and some of them seem divisive, so thought I'd ask.

Edit- Them prices o_O

LOL. That's the way it is in the high-end market. You are paying for a very high quality item.

FWIW, there are much cheaper Chinese Kayfun clones. The quality of clone RTA's varies widely. Some are decent and others are complete :censored:.

I've never been a fan of clones. But, to each their own.............

Don't misinterpret my reaction, I like quality and R&D.

I'm not down for the count, but I'm still on the floor...lol.

I never purchased the Kayfun X. I don't like the design.

I have most of the Kayfun RTA's going back to the early KFL.

The last RTA I purchased was the Atmizoo Aer when it was released last February. Atmizoo is another high-end manufacturer I highly recommend. Besides the Aer RTA I have a couple of their OG Tripod's and a couple of their Creek RDA's.

The StattQualm SQuape A[rise] RTA is another one I highly recommend. They make 22mm and 24mm versions. I have the 24mm.

The Aer, Tripod and A[rise] are all very easy to build/wick/maintain. All the spare parts are available.

Bottom fill and the air adjust buried in the 510 allow the K19 to be very small and very simple. Even adding the tank extension the K19 retains its small size yet you get 5 ml capacity. This is why I am exclusively K19. Bottom fill is of no issue to me. Flip the mod over and unscrew it. Base stays on the mod. Easy.

That said, the Prime is an excellent mod as well as are pretty much all the Kayfuns. V5, mini, original, V2…

I have to agree with the bottom filling, never bothered me (but top fill is nice lol). I still use bottom fill tanks and don't mind it.

But I never liked airflow buried in the 510. I also don't like airflow on the side but requires a tool to adjust it like the 3.1. I'm a weird vaper - sometimes I want looser draw, and maybe 2 hours later I want it tighter. So needing tools to adjust airflow is a no-no design for me. I need airflow adjustment on-the-fly.

I love the KF5 but I hate that the JFC needs to be open to a certain point in order to be able to adjust the AFC. Though I put up with it because it's better than needing a tool and I like the tank enough to over look it. I suppose the Prime is also the same in this regard (I never owned it).

Haha, you see what the words "bottom fill" does to me, I lost my attention span in a SNAP.

I will definitely look into the Prime model.

    Thanks.

If you are considering Kayfun Prime and think the price is too high....
Creme de Vape has a anniversary around black friday, this year it is 15 years since they started and will therefore be 15% off.
SvoeMesto also has Black Friday offers, where there are not the same offer prices throughout the store, but varying offers.
It may be that one of these two has offers outside of Black Friday, well Creme de Vape quite regularly has something on offer.

Well yeah, if you need to adjust air frequently then the K19 will never work for you. For many of us, we set the airflow one time and never change it again. The advantage is large for us. We don’t need all the associated gadgetry that’s needed for easy access air flow adjustments. Really simplifies the atty. Also allows to add more tank capacity. But the vape satisfaction rules and the gear has to lend itself to that.
