What do you guys think of this Kayfun 3.1 (Not clone) with 2.7mm Airflow, Pyrex Glass tank and Top Fill top cap?

Either you know a place to get custom parts or you are a machinist, not sure which but that is pretty amazing the more I look at it.

More good advice. Just to add, the iStick also uses PWM. And further clarification, you're speaking of low frequency PWM. Provari uses PWM but it is at a high frequency and essentially runs like DC..

I did not know that. Damn learn something new everyday. ☺

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Ah, another rayon devotee (hi brother) with a lifetime supply. I have been building coils off the same 10 feet somebody sent me for the last six months and have hardly put a dent in it.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Hi my fellow mate [once upon a time] in uniform!

Are you machining your own stuff? If not, where did you get those stands. I only want one to rebuild on. Right now I'm using my box mod as a stand.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Yes, most hardcore NETs will fowl up a coil and require changing within 5 - 10mls of juices vaped. This is where the beauty of rebuildables like the Kayfun come in. It takes me around 5 minutes to open, clean and re-wick a KFL. A very worthwhile trade in my opinion. ;)

OK I see now it is 18650 but it sure is nice. You had that for a while? I haven't even seen those offered for sale anywhere do they still make the 3.1

The Glass Tank section and the Top Fill section are from Fast Tech made for Orchids, but the internal Airflow - I made those changes:

I'd say the Provari P3 runs like a Rolex. I know the boost feature will increase the vape on a Kayfun. It's amazing on the Silo. The difference in vape quality is like night and day.

To my knowledge (and I could be wrong, but I'm probably not ;)), there are only two methods of DC voltage regulation used in ecigs: linear and switched.

Linear regulators require an input voltage higher than the output, are pretty inefficient, and are for the most part no longer used. Examples of linear regulated mods are Notcigs' IPro and BuzzPro, and VariCool box mods. They just use a resistance circuit to reduce the voltage and bleed it off as heat.

Switched regulators are used in almost all VV/VW PVs (from the top-end units right down to eGo and little Joye 510 cig-alikes) because of their efficiency. They can be buck-boost (reducing or increasing voltage) or boost-only (no voltage lower than the battery's input). The output from all switched regulators is a pulse train signal (PWM). The pulses can be filtered or of such a high frequency that there is very little noticeable variation of the output voltage during use, but the output is still being generated by switching the current on and off. But, regardless of the smoothness of their output signal, they are still PWM.

I know there is one or more VW mods using an AC output from an inverter instead of a DC regulator, but I don't know anything about it or them.

But... but... Rolexes don't run very well, at least not compared to quartz watches. :?:

But they sure look nice. And will last a long time if they are constantly serviced.

I hope the P3 runs much better than a Rolex.

One thing I have notice with the P3 is that if your battery is getting bad meaning it won't put out the voltage required it just shows your battery as empty. My last one which is getting old said empty at 3.7v but it wouldn't put the power out to fire my KF V4 at 11w so it just said empty. When I run the IQ it says poor. glad I have 10 new ones comeing. Could use one of my new LG's I guess since it will take a flat top.
