Lots use ... cotton, lots use Rayon, a few use silica. Ask 10 people which is the best and you'll probably get about a 45/45/10 breakdown and a big fight after the vote.
Some are. Some are using American cotton. Some are using Rayon. One is using silica. Someone somewhere is using Camel hair.
I use old t-shirts and dish rags, or whatever I used to clean my fake Rolex.

PM on its way. Highly unlikely there will be machine oil and/or shavings on a SM KFL. I boil all the metal when I get stuff anyway and clean everything else in dish soap before using. I'm probably worse than you about using stuff from places I don't know about. For all I know the mail sorter could of put it up a stray dog's .... so I don't take any chances.
I finally fixed conductivity issues of two other, cheap Kayfun V4 Clones, but I had to use my lathe to trim some parts down.

You know I was joking about the machine oil and other crap China uses. As long as the coil are under 2.1 I can use the boost. I usually vape at 8 to 9 watts.

It crossed my mind that you were joking. Let's just say I didn't want to fan the flames.
I'll build it with a 28 ga, 10-wrap, 2mm microcoil. It will be about 1.5 ohms. With boost this is a solid flavor factory. I'll have other coils you can try over time and they will stay below 2.0 ohms.
We have those alongside all the rural roads around here. Used to be giant square bales now giant rolls, must be new more efficient machines.

Having been in the South during the holidays, I can attest to seeing the rolls as well...same goes for Northern California...
I don't know what happened to the bales...
My lady's dad mentioned the rolls are the norm in England/Europe. Maybe those machines are being adopted for use in the US of A...?

All good. I don't have a fake Rolex. Or a cotton farm. And I only have one or maybe two old t-shirts.
But I do have some American Pima cotton. It doesn't wick as well as the Japanese cotton IMO. And some old Johnson&Johnson surgical cotton that does work very well.
No camel hair here.
Mine should be arriving this week, fed ex had some issues

Has anyone used the five pawns edition? If so, is it the same as the lite? Just curious

I love it! The new features are really cool, and the ones that crossed over were improved! I feel like it's definitely better, although, I still love my Lites.
As far ask I know, the Five Pawns Edition is purely cosmetic. There were no mechanical or functional changes made.

Hey, while we are on the subject of your new Kayfun...
There are a few cool items I've run across, in regards to filling it up! The standard bottom fill way works ok, and many people use the "top fill with turn upside down and burp it" method...but those were a little complicated for me when I got my first Lite.
