kayfun: ✓

Kanthal: ✓

Cotton: In transit

You aught to get a little rayon too. Of course it's hard to get a "little" rayon. Comes in a huge box. I got mine from someone sending me 10feet and have been using it for six months, still got about 8 feet left and it's all I use.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Received my kayfun cleaned it and assembled it.

I do not want to sound like I am crying, but the poly tank it came with has screwing issues (not the marriage counseling or medication type) I tried nice and easy, but it won't fit right. After several attempts it did fit, goes in crooked and aligns itself if i unscrew it, I have to start from zero. I did clean out the excess plastic prior to putting it together. It only happens on one side. Has anyone else had this issue? I am not a fan of plastic wish it was glass, but oh well.

I have. Used the metal and plastic tank until I could get new plastic tanks. Fastech sells em in five packs for less than 5 bucks. They work fine. I have about 10 of them kicking around.

I will have to say that I am impressed with the workmanship of the kayfun (except for the poly tank) I tried my first coil with 28 ga aimed for 1.5 but got 1.6. It fired from the center out. The issue I had was that I did build it right, the 2.4 screwdriver that I am using is a flat head so it seems to unravel the coil when I remove it. Well I will find better tools and continue to practice until my cotton arrives. I can not wait to try the kayfun, I can see the aspire is getting sad.......

I find the round end of a drill bit works best for me. I don't have any of those coil winding doodads.

Run it thru lukewarm water for about 3-4 minutes, then try attaching the M-tank on the SS tubes, backing a turn or two then threading forward.

If ever, later while disassembling, the sections get stuck, put them inside the Freezer for about 10 minutes. Remove it and give them a sudden counterclockwise twist. They'd break free neat and clean.

Lubrication:
And yes, never ever attach the M-tank onto the SS pieces without applying some vaseline on their threads. You may use a bit of e-liquid as well, but vaseline is my preferred choice when it comes to attys. There are other food-grade silicon grease doing the same job as well, but vaseline is usually at hand always.

ahh, you do it old school.

kinda hard to clean up though, eh?

It can be but, I too use Vaseline but, only a tiny bit. Just enough to barely get the threads lubed up. Hardly even know it's there. For the o-rings near the juice I always just use juice to lube them. It is important to lube your o-rings. They are easily damaged if dry.

Will give it a try

Yep back them off a little before screwing in and don't force it if it gets in there crooked with either the M tank or the plastic piece for the middle, the chimney will be crooked going into the top cap and won't hit the Oring right and you will have a leak. Don't over tighten them either. It takes a little practice but you will get the hang of it.

So.... This kayfun 4............ I got a clone but hell I really really like it! :O

I see Hcigar came out with their K4 clone. Costs more (like $45 or something) but Hcigar is known for making the best clones out there. Probably why they're always last to come out. They clone them right and take the proper time and effort. The Tobeccos of the world hurry it through and that's why they have so many quality problems. You can get them with the Hcigar logo (in lieu of the SM logo) or logoless. At least they don't steal their logos. That's what really pizzes me off.

Not sure what clone mine is. It's the FT type A. def clone quality with burrs here and there. But I finally got a feel of the atty and I do like it quite a bit. It's sucha smoooooth draw, silent as hell, decent airflow, wicks 100vg no issue.

I actually don't think flavor is worthily better, buuuut. Vapor production is definitely greatly improved.

Tobeco has possibly the best clone so far.

More airflow probably.

I have no way of knowing. But I do know through my ECF adventures that more people have trouble with Tobecco (in general) than any other clone maker I have seen. Just my observation.

All of mine have either been El cheapo Fastech or when I'm done playing and screwing it up, Hcigar.

No. Cal.
I humbly present one of my favorite size reducing Kayfun accessories.
Mod Factory K-Pico - Cloud 9 Vaping
Use it with a stock size tank ring, or a nano ring...
It works brilliantly.

Thank you HB and Grrr for the recommendation. Scooped one up from Cloud 9 and it has already shipped! Anything you might suggest that you do differently with the Pico than you do with the standard KFL? (My typical is 28 ga 2.5 right around 1.5. )

I don't do anything different!
Well, I use my warm/dessert type flavors with it...cuz it does make a warmer vape. You can kinda sorta drip straight on the coil too, if you've got a wide mouth drip tip.
Before you build it, try it with both a nano ring and a standard ring...decide which you like best, size-wise...there's not a huge difference in capacity between the two modes.
