Does your kayfun fit and fire on your Provari 2.5 with the Provari beauty ring? The fit on P3 is perfect, which has me thinking about the next Provape sale and a second P3, which means another kayfun lite. I have a mvp 2 so I had to try the kayfun on it. What a difference between perfect wattage and not perfect wattage.

No, that's the problem. Both KFL's work fine without the beauty ring just look wonky. What is strange is that they used to work with the beauty ring. My KFL's get lots of action. I've had one since the 2nd version came out last May and the other for a few months. Since we are talking about a teensy tiny amount of space, I'm guessing the "adjustment" happened on the attys (doubtful it's the 510 pins on both 2.5's).

I've lifted the post in my P2 and got it working again (Just give it a light pry working a small screwdriver around the side). But it comes and goes. That's when i finally gave the ring a couple wacks to open it up.

Up-date: I set up the vise and tried the whack method. Very gentle at first. Checked. A little less gentle. Checked and then a couple of good wallops but still no go. Guess that stainless steel is pretty strong! I tried both and rubber mallet and a hammer. (I'm not super nimble in the garage). Perhaps I'm not hitting it hard enough? The good news is that there's always plan B or C :)

So HB, want to double check that you have done the insulator sanding trick on an authentic KFL v2? As you can tell, I'm a bit protective of these little guys AND I'll never forget the grief I got from a couple friends on our forum when I used a pair of pliers to loosen the threads (hahaha), "but I was using a washcloth.". I have since learned about rubber jar openers and rubber bands. :)

The method worked for my KFLs...just do it a little at a time, like you did with the hammer.
Sand a little, check it. Sand a little, check it.
The easiest way? Once the base is disassembled, do the first sanding, then insert just the pin and insulator, and thread onto your Provari. Repeat as many times as needed, and once you get it low enough, reassemble and vape away!
And remember, the insulators are cheap, so if you mess up, you can always order some more. Cuz with this method, you're not changing anything metal...so it's not a permanent change if you goof up!

Seeing how easy it would be to mess up the insulator, I think I would have replacements in hand before attempting the mod, as the Food Lion says, just my two cents.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

My ring is SS and it worked. No telling on your ring. Perhaps it is thicker steel or designed differently than mine. At least you gave it a shot.

That's why I use the abbreviation YMMV in some of my posts. YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary. In other words what works for me might not work for you. Of course you could always get a bigger hammer. That ALWAYS works for me.

I did not include YMMV on my initial post but I did allude I had a different ring and it worked for me and could not speak for rings other than mine. I almost always include disclaimers about things I'm not certain about.

Might be safer to throw the ole P2 in the bone box and get a P3. :)

How's that KFL+ working for you Ping?

Well the KLF is working very well. This morning I put more juice in it as the juice was just a bit below the top plastic section. I have discovered the whistle I heard about in the videos and trying my best not to let it bother me. The vape is excellent and after this tank of juice I'll clean it and put in new cotton. I have the Silo tanks and this Kayfun has to weigh twice as much. The drip tip is cool with two O rings and fits in like a glove. The quality is unmatched.

My KFL+ never whistled. Some people had this issue and many resolved it. Can't recall exactly how. I think some pulled the airflow screw all the way out (off). Some filed the airflow screw, some chamfered the air hole...not sure. I haven't had to deal with it. Someone on here knows a solution though.

So Kayfun Lite fans, what's the solution for a whistler?

Yes it's an example of the ingenuity at work in this industry that makes me proud to be a vaper.

Yes definitely have spare insulators on hand! They're cheaper to replace than any metal parts!

Food Lion eh? You must be in the south...

No whistling here either. Air flow screw (s) still in but backed out as far as possible and still sit flush. No mods or anything.

I'm on tobacco road too (North Carolina). Most all the tobacco fields are gone...replaced with cotton and soybean. The government makes it impossible to make a living growing tobacco.

I can see you plowing the back 40. Hmmm tobacco road in Wake Forest?
