MKID. If you are happy with the draw (air flow) of your KFv2,in that it is not too tight or loose, your current battery mod is fine for now. As dusty said, most folks are happy with 10-15 watts on a KF.

I would concentrate on your build techniques and finding one or two juices that you really like.

I saw you don't care for sweet vapes and want something that resembles the Reds. I never found a good replacement for cig flavor but I sure have found excellent pipe and cigar vapes that taste spot on because they are NETs (naturally extracted tobacco ).

And (though I'm sure this has been hashed over numerous times) how do you crinkle your wire, Q?

One end held with pliers and the other into a drill. Single wire. Few rotations in slow speed. Then the resultant wire passed over a sharp bend (like the corners of a vice) multiple times, to slightly flatten it.

99% NET user here, so MK whenever you're ready to graduate to that level of vaping, look me up. ;)

I would need to do some research on NET see if it applies to me, feel free to shoot me info

In short, NET's are actual Retail Pipe or Cigar tobaccos macerated/extracted using PG or VG as a base. The resulting extract is then used to mix with PG/VG for juice. Some vendors use extracted NETs mixed with other flavours to create a juice, while there are some vendors that go exactly with what it is.

There are a lot of NET vendors these days, but two of my favourites are Heathers Heavenly Vapes (for flavoured NETs) and MyVapeJuice (for authentic NETs).

Will also try! I know that this is a kayfun thread, but is there a big difference between my mod per se mvp 2 vs, provari or dna in the effectiveness of the kayfun?

The Provari P3 has introduced "Boost". The new DNA40's have introduced "Temperature Protection". Without getting overly detailed, both will surge the power upon depressing the fire button and then back off once the coil is heated up (it's actually a sub second process). The purpose is to get your coil up to temperature quickly. One of the complaints low/medium power vapers (under 15 watts) have with using thicker wires (28 gauge and thicker) is it takes too long to heat up. "Boost" and "Temp Protection" solves this problem. Now we can use 26 and 28 gauge wire without having to wait for the coil to heat up. So you might ask, why is using thicker wire better? Many of us (me included) believe that if coil surface area is maximized, flavor will improve in most cases. So now with "Boost" and "Temp Protection" you can employ thicker gauge wire without the hassle of ramp up times to get the coil to heat up.

EDIT: It must be noted that for Temp Protection to engage on the DNA40's, you have to use nickel wire (as opposed to Kanthal or Nichrome). These can be tricky builds and some are finding atomizers that don't work well on their DNA40's. These are probably surmountable issues but perhaps for the more experienced users.

I am slowly figuring out that vaping is not smoking, just trying to find the best flavor (I know it is subjective) that will help me transition and stay which is very important to me. I guess in a way I am expecting that vaping will give me a placebo effect over cigarettes.

And I think the sooner you can overcome the fact that finding a direct cigarette replacement is not possible, the quicker you will be on your path to accepting vaping as an equal substitute. Vaping does a very good job of replicating pipe and cigar flavors, but really nowhere close to replicating cigarettes. It just cannot duplicate that paper/chemical combustion you get with cigarettes.

And the fact is ~ a month into quality gear and well blended juices - you'll hate to light up that cigarette again. In fact it'd smell putrid!

Heads up on the NET juices, I recently purchased a number of their flavors after hearing good things from a fellow member at another forum...he did warn me about accelerated fouling of coils and wicking material, I couldn't get thru one full tank with any of the 5 flavors I tried before that all started to taste burnt and pretty horrible.

I loved smoking. The only reason I wanted to quit is because in the last few years, I noticed it affected me more than when I was younger. Vaping helps with 2 of the biggest addiction, nicotine and habit. Since I still liked smoking, cig-a-likes didn't help because the satisfaction wasn't there. The devices that were a step above definitely satisfied all the smoking sensations w/o the nasty smell or carcinogens from cigarettes. Once I got my first real device (MVP2), I have not craved a cigarette since, even with big triggers like drinking or after a good meal.

I thought I wanted tobacco flavors but they usually fouled up my coils quickly and it was hit or miss with most flavors. I got a melon flavored juice free from a local B&M with my purchase of a Ehpro KFL+. I wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did and now I vape mostly dessert flavors rather than tobacco.
