Hello,

My recently purchased kayfun lite plus clone has a bottom pin that is too short to connect with either of my mods (MVP2 and Sigelei Zmax v5)

Is replacing the bottom piece my only option? Can any MVP2 users recommend me what to do?

Thank you,

Depending on what clone you have, just unscrew the bottom pin a little bit :)

The bottom pin does turn when screwed, but it does not move. I think it adjusts something near the posts.

EDIT: after some fiddling around, that does seem to work! I haven't looked inside so I don't know what's going on in there - hopefully nothing too bad.

Thanks!

Depending on the clone version you have, EHPro, HCigar or Tobeco (TOgether BEst COrporation), the bottom screw loosens the positive block on the EHPro and HCigar versions. The only version that has an adjustable bottom pin/screw is the Tobeco.

Which one do you have?

Please take a picture of the 510 threads from the side and post it to this thread so we can see how far in or out the center pin/screw is.

I don't see how that charging adapter would help if the center pin/screw is to far in.

Also the pin/screw would need to be recessed several millimeters, like 4-6, inside the 510 threads for it not to work on most APV's.

Your only option if it is recessed that far is to get a Delrin washer to place under the screw head to move it out. You should be able to get them at any fairly good local hardware store.

I had the same issue on my SID and Vamo and the fix was to replace the insulators on the MODs with Danco number 60 O-Rings. This raises up the center pin so it will make good contact with all my atomizers as well as fixing the dreaded 02 error on the Vamo.

The insulators had been showing signs that they needed to be replaced anyway.

How does this spacer work? Just drop it in the 510 connector of the MVP?

No you take the center screw out and put that spacer on it then reinsert it. It move the screw head, the slotted part, down so it make the connection to your battery mod.

All you need is a delrin, plastic, washer from your local hardware store. Any good hardware store, even a Lowes or Home Depot, has them.
