No you take the center screw out and put that spacer on it then reinsert it. It move the screw head, the slotted part, down so it make the connection to your battery mod.
All you need is a delrin, plastic, washer from your local hardware store. Any good hardware store, even a Lowes or Home Depot, has them.
I had mine open to rewick yesterday and tried a simple solution: I wrapped a little bit of dental floss around the pin, just under the head. About 3 wraps of the floss raised the head up a tiny bit, enough to solve the connection problem. Kind of a cheesy solution, but it worked.
Really appreciate it fellas. That pin issue was my only complaint on my KFL. Couple weeks ago, recoiled and rewicked my KFL, filled her up with great juice, popped it onto my MVP for the afternoon away from home. A few miles down the road I learned it wasn't making contact and I had nothing on me to lift the MVP pin. Sucked. Gonna get this fixed TODAY! Thanks again.
