I don't have any leakage but others might. I ordered from Intaste and it comes with a small screwdriver. One end is flat head and the other end is Philips screw. Both has a small o-ring. Use one of them for the fill screw and it should solve your leaking problem

Brilliant! I just put that oring in and it's the perfect size. You have a great eye for detail. I didn't even notice the orings on that screwdrivers.

Let's see how it works.

Still getting some leakage from the bottom of my lite. Tried tightening the fill screw and after building a new coil, tightening the screws around the coil. I don't know if it's from the fill screw or the 510 connection.

Anyone know where to get a micro thin o ring for the fill screw?

Have you tried coating the fillscrew threads and underside of head with vaseline?
Maybee teflon tape would work too, but I think vaseline is viscous enough to create a seal inbetween the screw and threading and stop any capilary seeping

I put a small amount of teflon tape on the fill hole screw, and haven't seen a drop of leakage since. Re-filled twice since. FWIW...

Nice review and tut!

I ordered some squarebraid cotton wick, ekowool, and reg silica from kidneypuncher to try in mine when it gets here.

Ive been wanting to try cotton yarn just never got around to it... ive used cotton before and it just always seems to pickup a soapy taste from my hands nomatter how long I rinse my hands after washing them, the soapy taste goes away after a couple days ... maybee ill try gloves??

Do you notice this with yarn?
I've never noticed a soapy taste with yarn. I do boil it for 10 minutes, dry it, boil for 10 minutes and dry again before use.

Anyone having trouble with juice leaking from the Air Hole of the Kayfun Lite? Would like pointers on filling it up with juice, I swear it has leaked out half my bottle already.
Thanks in advanced!

Make sure you are building your wick and coil set up the right way this causes most issue. I use the figure 8 wick style each loop bends over and touches the rim ware the canal is great results no dry hits or leaks. Also make sure your coil is up above the draw hole and not on it.

In addition to the above make sure you are not over filling, or drawing to hard or too long...both can lead to leakage.

There are actually a lot of reasons you could be seeing leakage from the air hole. The manual goes over a few other examples and can be downloaded here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5440288/SM/KL_UserManual/KL_UserManual_ENG.pdf

I like these so much I traded a gg stealth for another kayfun lite today. I already have 2 packages stuck in customs. I don't think I can handle the stress of a kayfun shipping debacle too. my first order from intaste went perfect though. I figured due to current circumstances it wasn't worth risking it.

Preemptive question:

My limited experience with RBA's so far has been a short stint with a Terminator. For cleaning, every couple days I would take off the tank, rinse, dry burn, repeat (silica and all).

Is that also a good method of cleaning a Kayfun?

The procedure is OK with any such Atty... but "every couple of days" isn't! That's unwarranted. Once-a-month, while a tank is empty, is more likely a better enough idea.

What are you vapin, water? After three tanks of any of my dark colored liquids(mostly bakery flavors)the wick on my k-lite and terminator is real cruddy and starts to give a off taste.A quick rinse off and dry burn and its good to go for another 10-12mls

I think so!

70/30 PG/VG, 16-18mg, 1.1Ω, Fruity+Menthol mix, 9-days now (received K-Lite on Jul-3/2013) and 9 tank-fulls... not yet cleaned, no off-taste, no issues and I'm [nearly]a chain-vaper. I never 'clean' my Gennys & Spheroids before a month too. I must be a dumb-...... but I love vaping!

I can get away with 3 weeks to a month between rebuilds on my gennny's that I use menthol in,but it is almost clear.
Most of the liquids I use that are not clear or nearly clear require at the least, a cleaning after 10mls or so,some more often than that.
That's with any wick material,SS or silica or ekowool or xc.I'm not a supertaster or anything like that, but they start tasting "muddy"(for lack of a better term) or worse, burnt
