Dusty how tight would I make my twisted coils?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk

I usually keep doing it until it snaps off either at the drill or the pliers by itself. That's when I know it's tight enough. The key is not to run the drill machine too fast, and also to maintain a steady pressure away from it to keep the wire as tight as possible.

Glad you can make use of that 32ga Dust. That would have been a shame to waste all that wire.

Are those replacement screws for the wire connections? where did you find them?
Got a question, being new to the kayfun Lite, lots of them , but .....
I was wondering do they sell replacement parts for the kayfun Lite? I was particularly interested in a spare base with the posts etc to have ready to go , set up with a wick and coil for fast changes, on the go

I like the "speed loader" idea:)

I've been looking for the same replacements but haven't been able to find any at all so far.

Another +1 to Bronze.

I have been havin that funky dryhit taste, even though I was flooding from dry-hitting so much.
(no wicks looked burnt when changed either)

I can't be 100% sure, but I just boiled my kfl and now its hitting like its right out the box.

I also replaced every oring and screw...

and replaced the malkeron (sp?) section with metal.
the clear tank was stuck on one of the ss sections. After the boil i got that piece
right into cold water. it unscrewed within seconds!

Nope, you're gonna have to get another kfl to do that.

I just saw someone else posting about buying just the base, and positive pin (the hollow one with a flat head bottom),
because i guess everything was stripped out. was that this thread?

time for bed?

Well I figured out one of my KFLs is definitely messed up. Built the same exact setup and same juice, all new o rings, on both of my kfls and the one is not wicking correctly. I cannot visually see anything wrong with it either .....

see my post above yours.

I had tried everything. boiled it, and voilà JUST. LIKE. NEW.

I've been washing it every wick change, which has been every day for the last week.

dawn dish soap, hot water.

then I brought in the scotch brite sponge,

then I got the super fine steel wool.

Nothing worked. More cotton, less cotton. nada

Boil it.
