I my opinion, the KFL is the easiest device to set up well to get great flavor from any juice. There is a bit of art to making a good micro coil, but once you get that down it's all butter from then on out.

To anyone having an issue with the coil build on a kayfun let me give this one piece of advice. Once you've wrapped the coil and torched it to hold it's shape (FYI, you can use a burner on a gas stove to heat the coil), let it cool down and then thread whatever you used to wrap it back into the coil. I use toothpicks, but use whatever you'd like.

Use this to keep the coil in shape and to make it easier to manipulate the coil as you're securing it to the deck.

so you heat the coil to get it closer together? and then what? lol

Yes, vapdivrr. The HEMP with me is a 'twine'... very similar to jute twines. I still run one of my Kayfuns with it. Replaced the wick about 6-8 times already. It seems to work better than the cotton ball ~ but very similar to the SnC cotton yarn. And yes, the boiling process is a PITA :( thus, I've boiled the entire lot in one go some weeks back.

im really looking forward to trying these hemp fibers but like you said its a little bit of a pain. i guess like you said you do a big ole batch it isn't to bad for it should last a long time. doing the peroxide and baking soda sounds like an experiment.

And just for comparison here is the liquid in the bottle vs the tank. Same color. Yesterday it was looking like chocolate lol

you can see a lot with that tank. did i see or hear that someone had a clear chamber so they were able to see the coils? not sure, maybe it was a dream.

Turbocad....wash and boil some more....I'm going to try Gdeals hydrogen peroxide and baking soda bath....it all sounds like a pita but those who put in the effort say it goes from good to great with no real hemp taste (unless you burn it of course :D)

im going to put mine in the washing machine, or maybe the dishwasher. just kinding. im getting some to try this week and gdeal did mention this as his new method, im definitely going to try it out.

I recall seeing that or hearing about it also. Could possibly dreamt about it too haha. But that would be nice!

If anyone is interested in the nano kits from Team Rampage, they're in stock again.

Just a little fyi though, since the nano kits don't come with a shorter chimney, if you want to use different drip tips, make sure the hole on the bottom of your preferred drip tip is able to accommodate the narrow end of the chimney. The stock drip tips that comes with the KFL do work with the nano kit.

Thanks for that heads up, 'R'.

I washed some in the washing machine in the sanitary cycle in a washing bag and it worked fine. I think it just needs some more cleaning. I got a whole kilo so I did a rather large batch.

For you guys that use an o-ring from mini-screwdriver on fill hole, does it make your fill screw stick out a little? Mine sticks out, so it scratches the mod when I screw KFL back on. I'm betting I have a different model mini-screwdriver & need smaller o-rings.

Mine Have done that too, so I'm using plumber teflon.
