Flavors change when you switch setups. I find the good majority of time they change for the better in an rba. But not necessarily. I always found it interesting how different setups/devices find different juice components to accentuate.

That they do!! Yeah, flavors usually do taste a lot cleaner in rba's as I have come to find!, If anything I believe it's the cotton & the strongest flavors shine better maybe than more subtle sweet flavors do, at least that's what I am finding, but only having this issue with the kfl & cotton in my micro coil. Have To say, the kfl has been my adv for the past 3 weeks & I am loving the versatility of this thing... So many options to choose from.

All this talk about wicking materials got me thinking, maybe using cartomizer filler(or even the fluff people use for the spheroid) would be a good way to go. I'm loving cotton on my r91 but i might try disassembling a carto to use it's filler with the kfl+ and see how it goes.

Does anyone tried it before?

Be careful. Those fluff materials like SERA, JUWEL etc. are not fire resistant. So isn't cotton, but it's non-flamable when 'wet' and gets heat resistant as well. However, these are 'poly-fibres' and might become mushy (melt) when exposed to high heat.

I'd tread this path with extreme caution.

I don't think that filler is going to be good for contact to the coil so it won't be good here as a wicking material. it works well to hold juice as a reservoir but needs a different material as the wick to the coil, it'll give of some nasty crap if it's burnt I think. it's some kind of synthetic material like rayon or something, polyester maybe

EXCELLENT advice there Q. The cartos usually have a little blanket next to the coil and it's said to be cotton. I've never verified that, but I'm sure it's not polyfil which gives off a toxic fume when melted. Even the spheroid has it's silica wicks running up to the packing material to keep it from being melted.

That's not to say that some sort of hybrid arrangement wouldn't wick better, and the only way to know is to try. But you definitely don't want polyfil or anything like that next to your coil.

Thx for all the advice, i like to tinker with these things, even when i'm comfortable with the way they work

I'll probably try using filler around the coil deck and sit some cotton or ekowool over it, like the spheroid but upside down. It won't probably add anything to the way it works(it may actually make it worse) but doesn't hurt to try.

I will probably also keep tinkering with the method i described before just for fun, but i can't keep spending money on this my gf is going to kill me when she sees this month cc bill

well, you have two choices- keep searching for the perfect vape or keep searching for the perfect girlfriend. personally, i haven't found the perfect vape but i know i've met lots of nice women.....haha

Just remind her that keeping your lungs smoke free helps keep your stamina up for other activities such as helping her with the dishes and so on.

Vertical coil post extension

2.5mm pieces of 12g and 14g hypodermic needle slipped together, 1.6mm screw cut down to ~5mm.

Some of this Stainless Steel 316L Seamless Round Tubing, 1/8" OD, 0.069" ID, 0.028" Wall, 12" Length would work good without having to sleeve two needle bits together.
