Hi, I will eventually try all the different wicking materials but from those of you that have been there done that, what types of vapes do you get with organic cotton vs sterile cotton for mini coils and the differences in silica, ecowool which I've seen solid and hollow core, any comments on these wicking materials?
ORGANIC cotton balls tend to have long fibers and may be a little easier to work because it will hold together better, some say that organic has a flavor to it or needs to be "broken in."
CVS STERILE ROLLED is what i chose based on the multitude of info available on it. It has shorter fibers and lots of little balls and inconsistencies to it, that being said, it can be cut into strips that are wick sized and then gently gathered into tube shape it is excellent with no flavor and can withstand heat very well.
EKOWOOL i have heard has a flavor to it unless you find the mystical high quality versions. same with silica. the descriptions of off-flavors that people describe kept me from ever trying any kind of silica wicking.
General concensus shows me that people prefer the sterile cotton in either ball or rolled form from CVS pharmacy online, over the organics.
