on 29awg my result was a hotter vape with 5/64 drill bit. that is the only reason i switched to 1/16 for micros. after lots of trial and error with both sizes i equate the added heat of the larger coil to added material to conduct heat. a big wick is going to stay hot for longer than a small wick. also consider the amount of wick that is resting on the deck.
remember, the deck conducts heats. juice socked wick conducts heat AND insulates well.
If you are using the same ga wire and the same number of wraps, the larger diameter coil will use more wire. That will increase the Ω and will lower the watts (assuming you are using a Mech)
My KFL+ was in the box today...Washed, dried, 16 gauge BTN, 28 gauge wire, 12 micro wraps, 1.5 ohms, CVS sterile cotton ball wick...I played with the wick and set it as precisely as possible...I went through a few wicks though the first was likely as good as the last...Wet it and vaped through the chimney and all was well...Promptly overfilled it through the top and it leaked quiet a bit of juice through the air hole...I figured I got a siphon effect there for a while...A 45* tilt reveals juice in the window with no leak...Draw was much easier than what I'd been getting so I ran the screw in a bit...It's producing effortless clouds and great flavor....
I'd seen complaints on the draw and loose fit of the drip tip...I see no issue with either...I'm more than pleased with the overall quality of the KFL+ and the SvoeMesto ring...All is well in my world and I'm more than happy I didn't pull the trigger on a clone...That's just not how I roll...

The Kayfun's are easily the best rebuildables on the market... they're the only attys besides a few drippers I like that I would consider ordering multiples.
I am looking at the Kayfun Mini 2.1 at the moment... I just don't understand why the mini is $165 and the lite is $99. Does the (admittedly nifty) fill valve from the 3.1 really cost 67 bucks to add on?
Another kudos to Warf on this thing! He told me about these a few months ago, but I tried and tried to make the genies work! I finally bit the bullet and bought a clone (poor white trash, sorry!) and after playing with one for two days I ordered another! These are everything a carto tank could be, but better! Adjustable draw, easy to rebuild, great flavor, yada, yada, yada..............

Yeah, good to see you, and me as well! Been an "interesting" couple of months! I need to give you a ring some time next week or so, and see if we can get Issac's tanks back on track! I think/hope he and I have all the rough stuff behind us for a while?
But anyway, I can't believe how good these things are! Like I said, it's everything you want out of a carto tank and more!

Glad you got it working good after a few problems.
I have one original Kayfun Lite and two of the Tebeco clones. I think I got lucky with my clones. My clone's threads were ok, but one of them had a hanging sliver of metal at the inside end of the air flow passage way. I was able to remove it by just pushing a paper clip through the hole. The other one of the clones had a bit of gunk(machining oil??) and some very small metal chips inside the hole in the hollow positive post that I had to remove. After those two minor issues they work just as good as the real one. If I were to buy another one of the clones I would for sure take it fully apart to inspect and clean. The real Kayfun Lite was spotless when I took it apart before the first build.
One thing I find interesting and a little bit of a question is that the air hole in the two Tebeco clones is slightly smaller(just a little bit) than the original one's air hole. However there is no difference in the tightness of the draw when I open the air flow adjustment four or five turns out on the clones. I guess the air hole size on the Tobeco clones is large enough to provide the amount of flow that the internal passageway will flow.

From what I understand, the mini is the full kit which comes with an extra, longer chimney giving you the ability to us it in extended length mode for 5ish ml capacity. Would look good on a pipe.

Yesterdays Vapemail brought a KFL+, and my first rebuildable tank although I do rebuild my Mini Protank and Evod llB heads as well as various simple drippers.
I cleaned all the parts with a 91% IPA bath and got to work.
6/7 wrap 30ga coil on a 5/64 drill bit (couldn't find my 1/16) giving a 1.9 ohm load. Hemp wick.
Finished the build and here's the weird part: I tried a fill with 3ml PG just for a leak / draw test using the fill hole. Some leaked from the drip tip, a little bit in the tank but no sign of the rest. Huh?
Tried a top fill and that worked fine so I'm not sure what I did wrong with the bottom attempt.
Flavor is similar to my IGo-L same Juice. Got to try tweaking all the variables... Vaping NEMP on Hemp.
Is this coil too high?

jmeek, you'll get more intense flavor with the coil closer to the airhole indeed.
Yea that coil is kind of high. The bottom of the coil should be around the elevation as the screws.
