And, you ran them out of stock for me..

I wanted to have a couple on hand as I need to replace one on the K-Lite that I picked up on the classies.

Haha to be fair I only bought 1 square insulator and 1 centre post insulator :p this was also the first time my shipping cost way more than the stuff I'm actually buying hahaha. Hope you find one somewhere, although I've searched almost every single website and no one seems to have them in stock. Kinda weird if you ask me, considering how you would expect these parts to be easily lost or burnt.

Inot...no dremel....no drill...How about heating a straightened paper clip red hot and burning the hole through??

I'm not sure if using previously melted plastic is a good idea. I've tried to reuse a slightly burnt insulator on another kfl before, and the plastic taste was ridiculous no matter how I cleaned it. I personally try not to ever let heat and plastic hang out as much as I can

Oh and shoutout to qorax! Paid by paypal :) thanks a ton buddy

I am looking to buy a kayfun Lite clone, but there are so many out there, I just don't know the good ones from the poor quality ones.

I was looking at this one on Ebay (comes with the svoemesto logo etched into it), but as someone from another thread pointed out, this seller has had some really negative feedback.

Kayfun Lite with Clear Tank Full Logo The Best There Is No Thread Leak | eBay

Anyway ... Where do I buy a good clone of the Kayfun Lite?

Thanks,

Hi All. I am looking for a suggestion for a coil build to allow me to run a Kayfun on my new Wizard Evolved II at greater than 20w. With my current build, if I go over 16w or 17w, I get dry hits after a few puffs. I would like to give 20-30 watts a try. Any instructions and pics would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

What is your current build Sedge? Perhaps we can help you improve on what you already know..

I have one SV KFL+ with a 28g 10 wrap 2 mm microcoil with cotton at 1.1 ohms and my Russian 91 I hand wrap 28g 3/4 over triple 2 mm silica at 1.2 ohms.

Heavier juices seem to taste better on the cotton micro coil and lighter juices on the silica set up. I've always ran both on the Provari maxed out at 15w. On the DNA 30 16 to 17 watts tastes great and I can still chain vape. Over that and the wicks obviously can't keep up since I get dry burnt taste after a few drags.

I'm happy at that level but I just want to see what 30w is like. Perhaps it's not the wick but just a limitation of a RBA tank. With an RDA it's easier to keep the wick moist. I just don't currently have one.

I find the highest range I enjoy is about 20W. Whenever I get below 0.8 ohms, the flavor starts to get lost.

I only enjoy over 15W with a dual coil set up, and only on my RDAs. I like my IGO T and my Helios both, but the air adjustment on the Helios gives it the nod, especially in higher Wattage vaping.

You can push more watts through thicker gauge wire, maybe try 26ga. Greater airflow is also needed at higher power, lung pulls instead of mouth pulls. And of course which you're talking about, more juice is used up so wicking needs to be greater.

The Kayfun is probably not the best device for pushing 30+ watts. If you modified it for increased airflow and drilled out the juice channels for more juice flow it would be easier to go higher.

Only reason for doing this would be cloud chasing, you'll be going through batteries and juice a lot faster. In that case a rebuildable dripper like the Trident would work a lot better.

Received my Lite Plus from intaste.de today, built it at 1.25 ohms and it's working very well. Love the new drip tip design; even though the new top cap is ever-so-slightly taller, the whole setup is 5-8mm shorter than my Russian 91%.

I didn't get a sticker, though. :glare:

How about a picture??

Sure, but it's not a good one. Here it is sitting on an Atomo clone next to a pair of VTC4s that arrived today as well. Terrible day over here, I don't even remember building it to be honest.

None of mine whistle ..... now. ;) One or two did at the beginning but they don't anymore. Not sure why, just breaking in maybe? After a few fills and rinses it should stop. Patience Dusty-san. :vapor:

I haven't tried the new one yet, it just came this morning (shhhhh - don't tell Akdare, the thought of him out amongst the oak trees burning stuff still makes me giggle :)) but I can let you know in a day or two. I'm waiting on an order of Suicide Bunny juices for it, but that just hit customs today.

I just tried playing with the grub screw for air control. The only way I got the whistle to stop was by tightening it all the way in..so, it goes past the little air "tunnel" and up into the body of the Lite. Anything towards the bottom causes the low whistling sound. The draw is very similar to the regular KFL's that I have in the position that it is now. Works for me! Let me know what works for you when you start using it.

The screws on mine are flush with the bottom except for one that I removed completely for a juice that's 100% vg. Even that one doesn't whistle now. Glad you found a solution!

I'm really looking forward to trying the new one. I'm sure it's the same great vape, but it sure looks nice. ;) KayFuns are all I use now - what's up with that? :)
