I have two KFL+. drilled one out a little wider. Its more airy draw for sure, easy for me to compare btw two of them. I´m normally using around 1.6 ohms.

Thanks for the reply. So do you like the one drilled out better? Did you drill from the side and from the airhole on the deck? Figured that would be the way to do it instead of just drilling the side hole and having a bottleneck on the deck hole. I have an authentic kayfun, hate to drill it out eventho im about ready too. Main reason I hate to drill it out is if I ever want to sell it down the road. Thinking about getting a Squape if I sell the kayfun.

I did build a chimney coil at 1.2 ohms and its hitting much better. Im gonna check the coil height as some has recommended when I finish this tank of Grandmaster. Before the chimney I was getting better flavor and vapor from a iClear 30.

Where do you get the brass drop kit? I saw one on instagram with a Stingray and it looked freaking awesome.

Try adjusting the height of your coil above the airhole. Svoemesto recommends 1-1.5mm clearance.
Did that to my existing coil, didn't bother to redo the wick I just tugged on the coil to raise it. Now even more vapor and much warmer than it was. I'm getting some taste now too, perhaps the same as or a bit less than an Aerotank or Nautilus. I could only manage about 1mm since I'd built it to be very close to the air hole. Should I try even higher when I rebuild? I'm wrapping around a 2mm screwdriver, 28 gauge, 5 or 6 (forget which), 0.9 ohm. Perhaps more wraps to increase the resistance since I'm finding the vape rather too warm for me.

For me, sub ohm kills the taste. If you are coming from an aero tank or nautilus, 0.9 ohm is really low. I use 30g, 2mm diameter, 7 wraps. It's 1.8 ohm. Set the coil perpendicular to the posts, 1-2 mm above the airhole.

I agree with this...for me the sweet spot is getting a coil 1.7-1.9, I get all excited when that works out:laugh: Once you get it figured out I'm seriously amazed at how long they last, just a little dry burn, maybe raise slightly and fresh cotton every other tank..can't beat that.

Hey Akdare doing great...been busy with some grandma projects lately and love doing that. Actually the sun is finally shining, it's a little chilly but the wind is helping to dry things out so I won't complain and it sure beats below zero temps. It was such brutal frigid winter, we are happy to see it end. Yeah I agree we do fall in the same line with our KFL's for sure. I was lucky enough to get three of the originals so I'm pretty much set for life:laugh: Hope all is well with you......

ive noticed that the type of juice also depends on the flavor with certain ohms. For instance I get more of a custard/creme taste to strawberry ratio on a .7ohm twisted coil then my R91 with the 1.2-1.3ohm coil which seems to be more strawberry/fruity then custard/creme.

Add me to the list too. Subohm is a flavor killer to me.

Certainly, on a Kayfun this is true. This device limits both airflow and liquid flow. It's great up to perhaps 12 watts, but not much more without modifying it...which I won't do. The device is well-balanced the way it is!

On a dripper with adequate air and juice supplied to the coil, sub-ohms can be quite epic.

Good evening all, I'm strongly considering getting this unit HCIGAR Kayfun 3.1 | Luxor Vapes Do you think it is a good choice ? It was recommended highly and I'm ready to purchase it, Just wondering what others think?

Haven't bought from there but know of others that have, and they are well spoken of.

I did my first attempt on filling from the top from the 3 months ive owned a kayfun RBA. It happened to be my first time with a stainless steel middle tank so I couldnt see inside for the air bubble.

Lol safe to say I failed as It flooded and I had to blow out some precious juice :(
I hate top filling my kayfuns. Since i put a glass tank on, i am forced to top fill.... Pita, but i put a wide rubber band over the air intake hole prior to top removal. It does help, since i have large hands.
