I'm new to rebuildables. I got my first one, a Kraken clone, (I'm poor), a couple of weeks ago. Built it with a vertical wire coil and wicked it with cotton. I liked it batter than my ProTanks, but was disappointed that there wasn't more flavor.

Last week, I sent for a KFL + and a nimbus. (clones). Wow, what a difference! I love my KFL +. The flavor and vapor are incredible! I'm using it with the steel tank because I vape a lot of tank crackers, and I miss seeing the juice levels, but the KFL is my best vaping purchase since I went from cig-a-likes to egos!

I love my Nimbus for dripping too. It looks nice, holds quite a lot of juice so I can really get a feel for how they taste before committing them to a tank, and has good flavor.

I try to build at around 1.8 ohms right now because I am so new to it, and vape on an MVP 2.0, a Maraxus Clone, and a Brass Nemesis clone. I also have a few Spinners, and use my PT3's and Nautilus on those.

I had tried cig-a-like kits for about five years, then found ego knock offs right after Christmas. Once I found the egos, better juice and ECF, my vaping has gone to a whole new level!

I'm glad to have found this thread a couple of days ago, and have been reading all the helpful information here!

Kathi. Thank you for sharing your journey. Very similar to many here including myself.

Before you decide on dropping your ohms on your Nimbus and Nemi combo please educate yourself on safety and get high amp bats and a good ohm tester.

For now it seems you are pleased with your current setup.

Vape on.

Thanks Sedge, One of the first things I read up on was battery safety, that's one of the reasons I've stayed at around 1.8 ohms. I really like having a face and hands! :D

I'm using purple efest 18650s with the Nemesis and Maraxus. I got a Kick as well, but so far, even though I read the manual, I can't seem to get it working.

I do need an ohms tester, so far, I have been using my MVP 2 for that.

As soon as I can scrape some more money together, I want to get a Kayfun 3.1, a Taifun GT, and an ohm meter. (Of course there are a bunch more things I want, but those three are probably at the top of the list along with a Vamo 5.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy now, I've got some good juices, a few good toppers, and a few good mods! :)

$15 ohm meter. Works great. I've tested it against my $150 Fluke.

There are many on ebay. With your efest you can safely sub ohm once you get some more practice, education and and ohm meter. Stay above 0.8 for a bit. Just make sure your coils aren't touching the deck or top cap. One of the most prevalent mistakes that causes a short.

Can't speak to your other clone but you shouldn't have any issues using a kick in a Nemesis. Even if it's one of those odd 23mm diameter versions instead of the standard 22mm. Make sure that the button or pin on the side is making good contact with the inside of the tube of the Nemesis. That's usually where the problem lies. If necessary, you can shim the kick. Make a wad of paper and tape it to the side of the kick opposite the pin to increase the pressure that the pin makes with the tube.

And I just ordered my second KFL last night from In Taste. Of course, it's the Plus version so I will have one of each now. Ordered it last night and got a voicemail this morning telling me it would be here by 10:30 AM tomorrow morning and to leave a signed note. Vape Rev was out of stock. Not sure about C9.

My only concern about the Plus is the whistling. Seemed it was a bigger problem in the beginning than it is now. I will be very disappointed if mine whistles. I will do whatever I have to to get rid of that whistling including destroying the unit if I have to. This was the main reason why I have delayed this purchase. Keeping my fingers crossed.
hey buddy! its funny because when I first started using my 2 k-lite pluses they did in fact whistle, at first it bothered me but then I got used to it, then after a while both have stopped completely, no more whistling and not sure why.

Everything of mine has Microcoil and Cotton in it, including Evods. I find cotton to be more flavourful besides chunking denser vapor. It just works for me. Two of my KFLs even have twin-micros with cotton and one of them has the same coils since March 2014.

a) Ref my earlier post #8211, SBS Twins >http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...tems/436118-kayfun-lite-822.html#post12421864<
b) And one with Double Decker Twins, ref my old post #2055 >http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...tems/436118-kayfun-lite-206.html#post10552795<
qorax, how is everything? trying to catch up on all the posts I missed while out in the virgin islands doing some diving, I noticed the mention of your kayfun duals. I did a slight variation in which I set my coils 90 degrees from the traditional direction, this gave me more room for a bigger diameter coil, also I feel like the wicking is a little better because the length of wick is shorter. so basically one wicked coil has one juice channel and likewise for the other, works pretty good.

The junction of the center pin and the airflow hole is another source for whistling. So turning the center pin can change the geometry and effect whether your Kayfun whistles. So those that magically either start or stop whistling most likely changed the orientation of the center pin, perhaps unknowingly.

Doing gr8 here Vap. Wow, some diving eh!

Remember I mentioned it before as well, I got into my micro+cotton foray following your twin YT vids a year back. Did ditto with my Aqua setup based on yours. And then replicated them on tri-coils (pic below)!

So, this 90º thing intrigues me ~ may I thus request you some pictures pls.

Ignorance is bliss sometimes Diver. For the record, my new KFL Plus from InTaste does not whistle. :)

Hey buddy that's a tedious build in the kayfun, at least it was for me because I also tried that some time back maybe last year. It worked pretty good but not amazing but now that I have a dna mod I bet it would be a lot better

As of now one unit is in stock. They keep restocking it off-n-on >here< However, early next week a renewed version of it is coming. The one with a brass ring at the base. Pls see my post here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...elescopic-mod-pictorial-132.html#post13042088
