sigelei zMax v5 with kayfun clone. I use a Provari ring which fits perfectly on the sigelei

Yeah, that's the round-top I was talking about -- it's got the vertical grooves rather than rings-around. Actually that v5 round-top is what I'm considering for another new mod. I seem to be collecting these things like books or records or something. That p'vari ring does work well with that!! :thumb:

Andria

PS: got a pic of that v5 in telescoped mode? that's how I run my v3 all the time, so I know I would with that one too.

Hey guys, I got a problem with my original KFL+. My English is not great but I am gonna try to explain my problem.
Yesterday I was making a standard 28g microcoil but when I tried to screw it, the center pin went loose.
I read online that you must take out the 510 pin and readjust it but I can't make it work.
I remove the pin, hold the insulator and the post, put the pin back again and screw it all the way. At first it's ok, but when I put it on my DNA box mod and try to install the coil, it starts moving again.
What can I do? Thank you and sorry for any grammar mistakes.

Anyone? :(

I little bit of help please!

I purchased an authentic KFL+ v2, and im having some weird issues with it.

1) After taking a draw or 2, the next draw will taste burnt/harsh, but any draw afterwards will be fine.

2) Sometimes the draw will stiffen up a little, then return to normal after awhile. It just seems to change slightly, and I make sure that my hand hasn't obstructed the intake hole.

My current setup is 1.4 ohms on a 2mm ID coil, with 28AWG Kanthal A1, on a JM22

Ummm my
First guess is blocked airflow somehow- could the wick be clogging the airflow? Maybe some heavy VG back flowing into the airflow?
Only other thing that I can think is some of the V2s had some sort of issue with the center pin. Some got repaired before they were sold others slipped through.

Can you elaborate on the center pin issue? Also im pretty sure its not the viscosity of my ejuice as I vape 50/50

I just found it pretty weird that i would get a burnt hit out of nowhere, then be able to chain vape afterwards without any hint of burning.

I suspect all of this is due to wicking issues. What does your wicking look like? And how close to the deck is your coil?

I don't know exactly about the center pin issue; there is a thread on here about it. I know it was spring loaded and would cause some sort of failure.
But I seriously think you're having a wicking issue.
I would try pulling the coil away from the deck and let the wick fall to the side of the chamber. Sounds too much like a blockage issue and the only thing that can block airflow is the wick
Try and set your coil about as high as mine is in the pic.

You are thinking of the 91% V2, I have one, just got my replacement pin for it today.

Ahhh yeah, I don't know. I know I saw something in the saloon.
I'm still thinking the OP problem is his wick; probably set to low.
Don't tell anyone I was trying to be a nice guy

Are you using a silica wick by chance? I have had problems with silica doing that to me, i just recently tried a silica wick, down to the deck, and a piece of cotton over the top, and down to the deck also, seems to work good. I can also still dry burn the silica and just replace the cotton once a week or so. Just my :2c:

Is there a way to get my KFL+ v2 to sit flush on my ProVari? The beauty ring I bought from VapeRev still leaves a small gap.

I took one of the replacement small orings that goes on the fill screw and put it on my KFL+ pin, and now the Kayfun sits flush on my ProVari, and the ring (from ProVape) doesn't spin.

I've never had any problems with the Kayfun 3.1 i use to own, and even used coils in the 1 ohm range. Im kind of regretting buying the KFL, but the smaller size was very appealing compared to the 3.1

Also I bought another KFL right when I received this one, because I wanted to replace the 3.1 that I gave to a friend that was tired of messing around with NR wire for the Odysseus.

Im hoping to bury this issue, and just enjoy the vape with both of my KFL+ v2's

A trick I saw mentioned somewhere here but I don't remember who said it. Use a credit card or piece of cardboard (like from a cereal box) placed between the negative and positive block. That way when you really torque down on the post the blocks will stay in their proper positions.
