Yep. I never even put the chimney parts on because the build would never register.
I know you pulled the 510 pin out; but did you try just backing it out a millimeter or two?
or what about a different mod? My ruzgar won't fire on my provari but it fires on my dna box just fine

I never actually pulled it out. I just tried unscrewing it in hopes of backing it out a little. The moment you unscrew it, the top positive deck loosens so there is no small amount of backing out. Like even just a small turn and the deck/pin will be loose. I only have two mods...an mvp and a stingray. If I can't get an ohm reading from three different ohm meters (I'm including the mvp as one of them), I'm not willing to throw it on my stingray and test it. I mean everything looks ok with the coil but the lack of safety in testing an un-metered coil on a mech freaks me out. I ordered this from Vape Royalty and they don't have a phone number you can call them at. I had to use their contact form on their website and I'm still waiting to hear back.

^ I would just send it back and get another unit. Saves you the heartache of owning an atty that can only fire on a select few mods

Yup. I was hoping I could get in touch with them today and get a replacement in the mail so I could have it before labor day. I don't believe that is going to happen though.

Edit: I just got an email from VR informing me that they will gladly replace the deck.

Ok so I decided to try one more build before sending this back. Coil is not touching the deck and the screws are as tight as they will go. Still not getting any kind of reading whatsoever. Below are the pictures of the build. Anyone see any issues?

Edit: Not sure why the photos are showing up sideways. The look fine in preview.

I had the same non-connection problem. I solved it by backing the pin screw out, wrapping a few turns of dental floss under the screw head, and then tightening it back down. The floss works like a little washer and allows the screw to stick out just far enough to make a good connection.

Not a very fancy solution, but it's been working for me for months now.

no connection issues but coil is upside down. well I suppose it doesn't really matter and there isn't a right way or wrong way but you just don't see it like that. the only difference really is your leads are so much longer that way so there could be more of a chance for those leads to heat, also longer leads increase resistance

Ha! Good catch. Didn't really think about the upside down thing but that makes sense with the longer leads.

its all good and vaping wise doesn't make any difference. for me personally, I just like the leads as short as possible. hope you get yours working my friend.

Ok another attempt (I'm the guy in the corner with the KFL dunce cap on). This has literally been a on/off 2 month ordeal with a couple good builds but mostly burning in the center of the wick.

This time I did things a little different to eliminate variable.

First I bought premade coils from ebay. These 1.5 ohm coils are wrapped beautifully looks better than anything I could do. Second I bought commervcal ejuice instead of my naturally extracted nets (net), last I' using KGD pad instead of an off brand that was more paper towel consistency.

Usually the burned cotton taste shows up within an hour of vaping so we will see.

I will say this right now with the coils saturated from my juice bottle before the device does the wicking the flacor is to die for, if only I could get it to keep wicking on its own. Stay tuned...

^ good luck! I hope somehow you can figure this out!

Also if you are on your last strand of patience..... You could always send it to either vapdivr or myself to take a look at your build? (I know he offered before, and I definitely don't mind)

Wouldn't hurt! :)

I appreciate the offer but this build is going fine so far. I think it was two things wrong, One ther paperish cotton pad and #2 the coil the guy sells these 1.5 ohm 28 g 5/64 coils for a reasonable price and I could ner build a coil this neat. I still had a lot of trouble getting the leads to stay under the upgraded chease head screws, it is a real challeng for me and am considering going to 3.1 to use set screws but I don't trust the fill valve on those (broke off a needle fill in my only 3.1) I can buy a replacement bas for it off fast tech for $13. But need some help on how you are supposed to fill a 3.1. I remember squeezing and feeling back pressure not allowing the juice to fill the tank.
