How do you get the perfect micro coil wrap, mine keep expanding. Do you have to torch it?

Also, does 'rolled cotton' wick better than cotton balls?

After the coil is rolled, I squeeze the coil with a pair of small pliers and torch it until it glows red. Then, I reposition the coil and torch again. After some 3 or 4 times, the coil is perfect and ready to install on the atty. I still have the option to also pulse the coil and squeeze it again when it is installed.

Note: Do not squeeze and pulse the coil at the same time. Pulse and then squeeze.

I believe the rolled cotton and the cotton balls are pretty much the same, as long as they are of the sterile type. I also believe that if they are sterile they are good to go without boiling, but if they are anything other then sterile, then maybe a boil should be done. I choose to forgo the soup and buy the sterile type. also the thinner the gauge the harder it is to get a tight coil. although you can get 30g to be tight for a micro coil, 28g or thicker is a lot easier.

28g It's metering out to 1.2Ω I just watched part of pbusardo's russian review. His coil is 1.2Ω and says that he is have to use it on a dna mod because the coil is too low for the Provari. WHT? That's what I'm using mine on.

He is also saying that although he's very pleased with it.. he's getting a "dry" vape. He's using a standard coil with silica. He needs to give micro coils with cotton a try.

do you think he was using a v-1 provari? if so that could be the reason because only the v-2 goes below 1.2Ω. also he could of had a slight short in the coil.

I mount the coil on the Kayfun. Then, fire the coil with the power button. Release the button; and quickly squeeze the coil together from the ends, with a tweezer. I repeat this 3 or 4 times. The result should be a nice, tight, micro coil.

I just got my Kayfun. When you build it, are you supposed to cut off the excess wick and only leave the loops? Thats what I did and I hope it doesn't cause any leaking. I'm also not getting a ton of flavor out of this. It seems a bit airy. Not nearly as good as my Ithaka. Also, how well does this work with dual coils?

not sure about dual coils on the lite, but wires in parallel would work. the problem with dual coils is the location of the air hole and the given space, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone has done it. if doing the micro coil one would not need duals

I bought the cotton balls but I guess it doesn't matter really. 130 cotton balls should last for a couple years and at $3, the total cost is something like 12 cents a month. No brainer!. I didn't see the rolled cotton at my CVS... hell, they only had 2 boxes of the cotton balls. Either there are a lot of micro vapers in my small town or I should hit up a bigger CVS.

CVS Cotton Balls - CVS pharmacy

I have went from the most expensive wicks to the cheapest. from January of this year till june I was vaping porous ceramic wicks in genesis attys, this was after doing ss mesh for a long time. the fc-2000 porous ceramic wicks imo were the best but kind of expensive. each wick was about 6 dollars and if you weren't careful they could snap. so I went from them to cotton which is like the cheapest wick you can buy.

Instead of the tweasers I just use my fingers, its a little hot but you get used to it. JUST KIDDING, DONT DO THAT, ITS KIND OF HOT.

I ordered one from intaste last Sunday, and received it today. I ordered from Cloud9 on 7/29, and also received today. The difference: UPS 4 days. Royal Mail/USPS 1 1/2 weeks. Both suppliers include a spare o ring pack. Intaste also includes a nifty little screwdriver. Vaperev, on the other hand, supplies neither.

I've only ordered juice from Vaperev but it's always been shipped the following day. It's been 5 days at inTaste and still sitting in pending. I would have gladly paid $2.50 extra to have it shipped the next day.

Vaperev is probably ok when it's not during one of those releases for current "hot" items, like Nemesis, Kayfuns, etc. They seem to get backed up at those times.

Did anyone in the US who ordered their KFL from intaste.de last sunday get an estimated day when they will be shipping? This sucks. Was hoping to at least get it this week. I might give cloud9vaping a look instead of intaste.de next time. Dumb export laws!!!

Yes, I did mine arrived this morning. But I did order it about 10 min after it went live on their site.

Quick question: with a sillica build, should the wick touch the bottom of the chamber (where the juice holes are) or should it be above the bottom? And if it should be above the bottom, how much above? 1,2,3mm?

Mine lay on top of the juice chamber and run from end to end..
