You could also turn it upside down and blow the excess into a rag. The holes that connect the tank to the heating chamber will be elevated out of the liquid and will not continue to fill as it would if you try to blow out the excess in normal orientation causing continued flooding. You can also vape it inverted to clear a flooded condition.

Good idea...but you may get a bit of juice in your mouth...depends upon how flooded you are I guess.

I also don't fill all the way, just most of the way. I usually end up vaping it dry (nasty hit telling me, "hey, you may want to top off now"). I use juices in the range of 80% - 60% PG, so not terribly thick. I always top-fill, using the 'flip upside down and tighten the top cap' maneuver.

I agree that the logic makes sense. And I don't claim to know why it doesn't flood. Maybe my wick absorbs the flood. Maybe I have a super-magical non-flooding Kayfun.

However it also makes sense that if I were to drop a bowling ball and a golf ball from the roof then the bowling ball would hit the ground first. But when I tried it, both hit the ground at the same time.

Actually my wraps are fine....The problem was I took the same approach that your typical chimpanzee takes toward a rubic cube I hit it alot and smeared feces all over it......when my atty flooded rather than taking small puffs through it...I cranked up the power as high as I could and sucked on it like a bellow over heating my coil in an attempt to vaporize excess juice.
Using ceramic in the KFL is no different with wicking than using cotton. (Except that it lasts longer, is much more durable and has a more pure taste if set up right. IMO) Equality 7 - I think Vapdivrr may have diagnosed your issue. If you have a loose wrap, its the equivalent of having a genny hot leg and that coil will get hotter than the others and give you a burnt taste.

Rule 62s earlier explanation and Turbocab detailed explanation (really well done!) should be required reading for using this device (100% correct)

I enjoy Phils videos, they are entertaining and informative, but he completely missed the mark on his wick tests. (read "Fail"). I posted this in the ceramics thread a while back. If you correct for his oversight of not leveling the cardboard, the white wick out performs everything else.

Now that's hilarious!

I think the Kayfun lite is great . The only issue I have I vape a ton of anise based juices with oil in them. Pluid,Grenada etc.. and the rubber top seal around the chimney will swell and pop off every 24 hrs or so and has to be replaced.

search this thread. I have a fix for this posted. "4c" is the upper o-ring. I replaced mine with a protank coil seal. No leaks going on week 2, grenada fluid. The original seal will swell & fail. After sitting out for a few days the o-ring will shrink back to normal size. After a month, i found the PT seal solution. Hope this helps and have a great Holiday every one.

Can u throw a 30ml bottle in there a just call it a week....
That is large mode. Was just a bit to much for me, I ran it for a week & put the large mode chimney back in the bag. It works, but it is LARGE. let me find some more pictures.

In one of Busardo's videos, you'll see the white ceramic wicks very well even when it's vertical

as gdeal stated the white ceramic made for the kay-lite wicks as well as cotton, although I have not tried them I will have to agree with his assessment. I have seen all these wicking tests before which do show how well they wick vertical, the question is, is how fast they can replenish. I have tried every ceramic wick available and used them in genesis devices, all required tilting to some degree. the tilting made the juice travel along the outside of the wick and to the coil, this is not shown in wicking tests. I love the flavor using ceramic wicks, imo they are the best, next try, ceramic in the k-lite.

Well, my tank is almost empty and no flooding or leaking with this build. Just a little gurgling when left alone for 5 hours or so. I just made the wick a little more dense and a little longer. Maybe it's too dense this time but I'll open it up again and try a different wick. Thanks again for the help guys.

works great, if you have to be out all day or drive for 10 hours its the bomb. but like others said its freakin huge. the only problem I had was when you got to half way full or so, then left it over night. it flooded i tiny bit, nothing leaked out, just a little gurgling in the morning for a hit or two.

as for wicks right now im trying silica with the coil area wrapped in SS mesh and pretty sweet vape so far.

I have no idea why..... it will take someone who knows something about physics, but ceramic wicks better in a kayfun than in a genny. you can chain vape ceramic in a kayfun lite much better than in a genny.although I will add this caveat.....the breaking in of a ceramic wick is much more dramatic in a kayfun.....there is a real dramatic diffrence between a green wick and a seasoned wick.
