So I've had my KFL for just over a month now. Still using the very first micro coil I put in it. I changed the cotton wick after about 10 tanks and have used that same wick until today - untold number of tanks. For two days I kept thinking I really need to change the wick, but kept refilling it anyway. Today, it just didn't want to vape very well and started gurgling about every other hit. No dry hits or air-hole leaks (stayed in the A/C all day), but gurgling and not much vapor.

So, I took it all apart and boy, was that coil gunked up. Pulled the cotton and dry burned and dry burned and dry burned the coil. The outside was nice and clean, but the inside of the coil was still clogged. I used a dental tool and poked/burned/poked until I eventually cleared it out. It seems as if the juice had crystallized in the coil. I wonder if it had anything to do with my experience of air-hole leaks when going from A/C to 80+ degrees? I'm sure it didn't help.

Lesson learned: change that wick more often!

PS
I think I like HHV PB better on a SS mesh genny. I'll know for sure by the end of this tank.

Those little Dentek brushes, that you can find in the tooth care section of the drug store, work great for cleaning the inside and outside of your coil. They're like tiny bottle brushes. Hit the power button a few times, and the gunk will turn to a whitish ash. Brush it off with the Dentek brush, and your coil will look good as new.

Good advice :thumbs: Folks, next time you order batteries you might as well add a couple of these: Mini Cleaning Brush for E-Cigarette

Oh yeah! I have some of those brushes, thanks for the idea. I'll start using those

This clog was much tougher, though. I mean it was hard inside. Hard enough to resist a dental pick.

I'm also from Canada and just received one from Intaste.de. Everything was great. Got to my door 3 days after I ordered. Unfortunately there was also a tax, brokerage and duty fee of $26.00 from Fedex. Didn't you also have to pay those fees?

My user review @ the site

Fantastic RBA + Fantastic Vendor + Fantastic Shipping = Vape Bliss !
~~~
This was my first buy from INTASTE, I was apprehensive at start when I got the lead at ECF, thinking how would the shipping work out, Cost Vs. Time. But as I did cart my K-Lite and proceeded I found that their International Shipping was one of the LOWEST among vape-vendors. And icing to the cake was that they were sending thru FedEx!
Bottomline: 24-hrs. into vaping my K-Lite I stand floored! This is a "Nuclear Missile" of a RBA -- powered to last and prepared to chain-vape. Yes, that's what I'm doing and it's going strong. The vape quality is beyond anything I had experienced before and the look & feel of it is stupendous. Besides, it's setup was pretty simple as well. Getting it at my doors in 2-days was something I didn't expect either.... Germany to Canada. Beat that!
I recommend this Atty (Kayfun Lite) as well as the vendor (InTaste) wholeheartedly.
Where: www.intaste.de
Availability: Still In-Stock (as of writing)
Jonny5, I know that I didn't have to pay those fees. It's hit or miss with charges like that, and after over three years of ordering internationally, I have no clue what brings them on.
I got dinged on a FastTech order, but not for any of my other FastTech ones.. go figure!
The Canadian government at its finest. Btw I've noticed from other's pictures that they got the spare parts and a key chain screw driver. I didn't get the screw driver from Intaste. Did I get screwed? :blink:
That's odd. I even got the screwdriver with my Squape, when it came this week.
Definitely received a screwdriver with mine. I'd give it to you if you were local to me, but I'm not going to give Canada Post $5 to mail it to you. :)
No, you didn't ;)
Get one for $0.70 here. Better still - two for $0.85 here.
BTW, I've two from InTaste @ different times - and both have those, it's thus strange that they've done away with it lately.
Thanks anyways. I emailed Intaste to let them know that I didn't receive it. I guess I can't expect them to ship on their dime the screw driver. Wagers on what they will do? I'm thinking they blow me off.
Yes, I did :( $22.35, on my 1st order from InTaste.
But, got wiser and told them not to write 'e-Cig' in the next shipping label:), they complied, wrote 'metal tubes' instead, and voilà - no duties on the 2nd one!
BTW, I've never paid duties on any of my voracious overseas purchases ever - except for that one from InTaste.
