^ You won't need the 'brass screws" with the hybrid adaptor...the pins (included with the adaptor) replace those...

Yea, you'll need the teflon disc, it will hold the new firing pin...you'll use the small pin for the 18350...
Here's how it works as you see below, the brass disc screws onto the KFL...... then throw the white disc with the pin into your caravela. It all screws together..

After you screw that brass disc onto the KFL, the KFL will just screw right into your 'vela.....do post some pics when u get it!

Simple :) thank you..... but I still don't get what you mean by "brass screws" :( all mine has is brass adapter disc, Teflon disc and 5 different size firing pins.... Am I missing something?

Just an observation here. I got a second kfl about a week ago in a trade. The owner listed and showed a pic of a scratch on the deck, said it came that way. OK.. no problem. When it came I looked at both of them and the one I've had for 2 months has the exact same scratch in the exact same place! Mine came from the factory like that also.

I put a coil and wick in it and it was perfect. I rewicked it a couple days ago and perfect. I've yet to get a dry hit off of the new one. Remember that with my original one, it's taken me quite a while to get the density and placement of the wick right. Ok... so maybe I've just got better, the last wick I put in my original one has been perfect also.

Now here's the weird part. Remember Bronze getting yeti's kfl and saying that it seemed to run hotter? Well this new kfl seems to run hotter. Not exactly hotter...it's working perfectly.. it's just um..peppyer.

The setup in my original one is a 1Ω coil running on a provari at 3.4v... that's 11.5watts and right up at the 3.5amp ceiling. The new kfl has a 1.1Ω coil in it and it's running at 3.3v on a provari.. that's right at 10watts. You'd think that the original kfl that is running 11.5watts would be more "powerful" but it isn't... running them side by side it's obvious that the new kfl, running at 10watts has much more "get up and go" than my original kfl running at 10watts. They both have identical micro coils and cotton in them.

my original...1Ω 3.4v 11.5watts
my "new" one 1.1Ω 3.3v 9.9watts and has way more "pep" or "snap crackle pop" than the one that is running higher watts.

I just thought it was weird/interesting that they're identical in looks.. right down to identical scratches on the decks. But one is performing vastly different than the other.

Next time I have them both apart, I'll take a pic of the matching scratches. But I'll bet if some of you look at your decks...you just might see a small scratch on yours too.

Very strange. Keep us posted donnah if this continues.

I got a small sample of Grant's vanilla custard with the trade I made. Yuck! It's so sweet I think I got a cavity vaping it LOL

Well at least Big Willie's doesnt taste overly sweet to me. At 1.1ohms I'm getting an almost smoky tasting creaminess. Its very well balanced. Definitely sweeter than the 555 but not overly so. I think I'll keep it in here for tonight and go back to the 555 in the morning. Just wanted to compare the flavor of it against the EVOD mith 1.5ohm micro/cotton wick I have it in. Its obviously more in your face on the Kayfun and the extra heat actually mellows out the sweetness and brings out more of the egg flavor of the custard. Good stuff!

It is a tool mark from the machining process. Likely from the cutoff tool when the piece popped off the barstock. The tool was worn and caused the piece to shoot off in a funny way. They fill a bar feeder on the CNC lathe and run the machine lights out so no one was there to catch it. They came to work in the morning and had a bin-full of scratched decks. They can probably machine 500 of those in an 8-hour shift so they weren't going to throw them all out.

Yo bronzy I got a similar mark in mine. Next time I have it apart I will show it to you.

:smokie::banana:And I just whent a little crazier. Extracted 1/4 of the Custard and replaced it with my Mt Baker Dutch Apple Pie. :p Added the touch of cinnamon and pie crust I was looking for from my Granny's old school custard recepie! Woohooo!!! The custard is overpowering the apple flavor so I'm getting just the flavor profile I was looking for from this dessert vape.

GRRRRREAT SUCCESS!!

Edit: Getting goose bumps at how good this tastes! I need a 2nd KFL to have this mix in it at all times naooo!!!!

there is no way that is a mark from a lathe with a "cutoff" tool. Was that fiction?
