I noticed one side of the chamber is beveled on the edge. Should this side face up or down?

What?! I've never paid attention to that detail. Are we talking about the inside edge? If that is so, I would think it would be at the bottom to aid with juice wicking, since the bevel would then add space to the little notch where the juice is supposed to enter the chamber itself. Need more detail, and if possible a picture too, since both of mine are not "scheduled" to be pulled apart for atleast another day or so.

This could very well be why some members have wicking issues.

so is the nic content the same as regular juices? or higher because of the extracts? also does the taste or smell tend to linger in a tank if you just ran a tank dry and refilled with a different juice?

The nic is the same but it also has alkaloids from the tobacco. Feels more like a cig then just nicotine.

What bustabo said. :)

WTA = Whole Tobacco Alkaloids.

It was designed for the intense cigarette smoker who wanted a fix. And yes Diver, NETs can gunk up coil and linger with the best of them. Some more than others. :)

I finally got everything - my blue LED Provari repaired, my brand new green LED Provari, my assorted Kir Fanis goodies, and of course my KFL. But I'm still waiting for my Lightning Vapes wicks and coils. I didn't realize that the KFL doesn't come with at least some to get you started. InTaste got it to me faster than I usually get anything domestically that I order and included a bunch of spare parts, o-rings, and a cool little screw driver keychain (that's came in real handy for transferring a Provari end-cap spring).

While writing this I just found out that my LV order is actually waiting for me to get home in my mailbox. So I can finally use this thing - but of course I have no idea how to yet. I've seen a bunch of videos when I was first looking at it, but everyone has their own way of doing things when you get down to it. For my wicks and coils I followed Bronze's advice and went with 30 gauge Kanthal and 1mm Silica that he linked me to. Can I also request another link to a good quality video for instructional purposes that I should follow in building my first setup? I haven't had a chance to catch up to this thread in a while so I apologize if I missed it in a previous post. Thanks.

Sounds like you are in good shape my friend. Kayfun and provari are about as good as it gets.

Have a question...one of my KFL is leaking (slightly..mini drips) but a couple of days ago I sat it down when a customer came in and didn't get it locked....it was quite hot when I realized the problem. Do you think I need to replace the insulator? The vape tastes great and everything seems to be snug..so that's why I wonder if I need to replace insulator.

Check the little o-ring under the top cap that locks the chimney section in place. That shifts sometimes causing air pressure to slowly flood the chamber and leak out the air-hole.

Have you taken it apart to see if the insulator is burnt/damaged?
