kayfun Lite number 3 has been ordered from Vaperev. I lost patience with waiting for Intaste to re-stock. Also ordered in a couple other goodies.

Bender: Since the 3rd one is going to be dedicated to my pipes, I figured the bender would be a cool feature to add in addition to a pipe-stem.

Twins: For the Provari Mini. I've been using the regular black extension cap to use with the 18500's, so it's going to get a facelift.

Have a question...one of my KFL is leaking (slightly..mini drips) but a couple of days ago I sat it down when a customer came in and didn't get it locked....it was quite hot when I realized the problem. Do you think I need to replace the insulator? The vape tastes great and everything seems to be snug..so that's why I wonder if I need to replace insulator.

Leaking from where?

Sounds like you are in good shape my friend. Kayfun and provari are about as good as it gets.

-Lord

Well I'm in good shape inventory wise, but I have no idea how to set it up and what I should do to prep it. It's literally just been taken out of the box and had the glass window swapped in. I'm a complete noob with RBA's unfortunately, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Check the little o-ring under the top cap that locks the chimney section in place. That shifts sometimes causing air pressure to slowly flood the chamber and leak out the air-hole.

Have you taken it apart to see if the insulator is burnt/damaged?

Leaking from where?

I haven't taken it apart yet as I wasn't home last night. It seems to be leaking ever so slightly from the 510 connection. I don't think I asked my question correctly. I assume since it seems to be vaping well and I'm not getting a burnt taste that my insulator should be ok..is that a fair assumption?

IMHO, you have just over-wicked it a bit and the excess juice weeped out of the air-hole and ran under the KFL's base. It happens sometime and gives a false impression that something is leaking. Most imdtly blame it on the fill-screw-hole;) I'd say, "Relax and enjoy your vape. You have nothing to worry".

Lord, have you watched vids on how to build a microcoil? You want a 10-wrap, 30 ga microcoil, 2mm diameter. Do you have a 5/64ths drill bit?

BTW, I learned if I put some juice on the orings before assembly it makes it easier to take it apart (and probably helps keep the orings tender).. Just hit a few spots around each oring with a tiny beadlet ...it will spread out when you screw it down.

Yep. That should be a standard practice. I do it everytime I disassemble / assemble my stuff. I kept a small dripper (bottle) with pure VG for that task√

Something interesting. (back story) I work in the OR of my local hospital. Today I assisted the ent surgeon with ear tubes. We use sterile cotton balls (steam sterilized) to pack the ear after the tubes are put in. After tearing off a piece of the ball, I kept the rest, figuring I'd see how they worked.

I needed to rewick today anyway so I used a strip of the sterilized cotton ball. Bad taste! Hmmm.. I emptied the kfl and put another piece in.. the same bad taste! I went to the bathroom and got a cotton ball out of my cotton ball bin and put that in the kfl and my nice, rich flavor was back. I have no idea what kind of cotton balls I've been using out of my ball bin. Just plain ordinary cotton balls that were bought probably years ago.

I need an honest opinion. I have a reo grand with a reomizer and I've really been looking to get a kayfun lite... I absolutely love they're look and I'm kinda missing the tube mod look. I love my reo but can anyone honestly tell me if I pick up a kayfun if I'll be disappointed going to that from my reo with a microcoil and cotton? I plan on micro coils on the Kay fun.

Hard to say as I don't own a reo but I'd imagine it to be somewhat like my mech mod using a rda. I love my rda but it isn't very convenient especially if I'm running around or at work where it would have to stay in my pocket or laying down in my toolbox. I just can't imagine anything better than my Kayfuns for practicality as well as performance and aesthetics. One day I would like to try a reo just to see what it's like tho. Why can't you have both? :vapor:

Hi Bronze. I've seen a few a while ago, but I can't even remember where I saw them. I've never done this before and was looking for a good video you would recommend that I follow.

Also, I just looked at my wicks and it says to wash them or torch them before use. Do I really have to do that? I don't have a torch and I won't have time later to do this for the first time if I have to wait for them to dry. Thx.

Edit - also not sure about the drill bit. What would I need that for? I don't do much drilling...with actual drills that is lol
