looks great. only thing i don't care for is the fact you'll have to take it off your mod to adjust the airflow...

I actually dig it. It doesnt ruin the exterior look and air control is something you play with anfew times to dial it in for your particular juice and build and once its set you dont touch it anymore. The question is though, is the KFL+ airhole larger than the standard KFL?

Now that I'm thinking about it though lets hope that air control screw doesnt cause leaks.

besides the actual coil being threaded with cotton, has anyone added a strip across the top of the coil? I was thinking about being able to get a little more juice onto the coil and added another length of cotton on top of the coil. this length is the same length but slightly less dense and not as thick as your regular wick. I have only had it in for a short while so im still getting a slight cottony taste, but I do believe its giving me more flavor at this point. I laid the top wick diagonally, sort of a 90 degree's to the bottom wick. I initially thought this would decrease air flow but has not. I will keep updated about the results but initially works really good and may help especially those who might be having slight wicking issues.

I think I remember trying this at one point.. must not have impressed me too much because I'm not doing it now LOL. Maybe I put too much or too little.. anyway, let us know how it works. It's nice that they're putting out a new kayfun.. but I'm content with mine as they are.. they draw is perfect for me. Now if I ever get my 91% I might think different. (preorder going on 3 months!)

you know the flavor is definitely getting better the more I vape it. would be interesting to see if it worked as good at higher resistances, for if the power is not enough it could maybe flood? don't really know but at .65 it does help the flavor slightly. new kayfun?

You've just discovered "flavour wicks". :D

I used to actually remove those in the old Vivi Nova and ProTank days, but will definitely try it out next time I rebuild the K-Lite. Keep us posted on progress with it. :)

I've done that before, it does work well for higher power I think, I've tried over the top and on one side, remember it being good but I'm now not using it anymore, now running the kayfuns at 15 watts or less and the single wick does ok

Why not just increase the diameter of your coil slightly, like 5/64 instead of 1/16? You'd be using a little more cotton, thus holding more juice.

I actually like the Taifun GT better than the kayfun style attys for several reasons, but swapping out a coil/wick is a breeze and the main reason.

Rumor has it a new Taifun GT is coming out with adjustable air (besides changeable tubes....something similar to the R91) and option glass tank. Also a batch of the current Taifun GT is due out within the next week I believe.

I agree. I prefer the Taifun GT to the Kayfun. It's my current favorite. I have two of them. The Squape is a great vape, as well.

Where'd you get that side by side? That thing is sweet.
Took a look at the forthcoming KFL+. Nice features but I think current lite owners should be rewarded for their patronage by being offered the base only for 50 bucks or so. Also I wonder if opening the afc all the way would prevent a flush mount. It appears that the adjustment screw would protrude from the bottom of the base when fully open. I would prefer Svoe Mestoe hold off and make a totally redesigned KFL 2. Something capable of dual coils with air flow and juice feed variability. Maybe take some inspiration from Uvo's Aqua

don't think its quite the same. increasing the diameter either will decreases the number of wraps or increases wire gauge. when I have done a 5/64 diameter with my usual wire gauge & resistance I am held to 6 wraps, imo the flavor wasn't as good. I also tried this diameter with a thinner wire to increase the wraps, but again I felt like the flavor was lacking.

I see these flavor wicks when I rebuild my wifes protanks and have tried to remove them, but in her case they flood if removed, so I keep them in. but yes, same exact thing, I knew they were called flavor wicks but thought they were just in to stop flooding, but so far in the kayfun, the name seems fitting.

That is a sidewinder 18650 style mod with kick2 that I made.

IMHO It's really to bad that Svoe Mestoe went to all the trouble to be different than 91% with the air adjustment on the KFL+. Maybe they had other reasons, but it just seems like they missed the mark....again.

The Aqua looks very interesting....a little busy....but I'm very eager for people to get it and hear some feedback.

I finally built both my kf's with 1/16 drill bit and have to say I like the flavor better than 5/64 I was using. Went from 1.3 ohms to 1.0 ohms. Not sure if that had anything to do with it but flavor is better for me.

the 1/16 diameter was the first I tried. since, I have tried a bunch of other diameters but always come back to 1/16 or 16g. I just think it has the best balance for flavor & vapor.

Did you ever get your DNA mod?

not only have I not gotten one yet, nobody has. they are way behind and people are starting to get very annoyed. the latest info is they are very close and some of the first mods are going to be shipped very soon. have you heard a rumor about a dna-30?
