So, you're going to go from 5.5 watts to over 20 watts?! : shock:

Nah. The 8 wraps will give him about .9 ohms in the coil. Accounting for mech losses, I doubt he'll see even15 watts on a fresh battery.

But then, you have to be thinking about his preferred power level. I find it hard to imagine he isn't mixing volts and watts...

I am finding 30ga to be much better than 28ga on my Provari. Seriously better TH and flavor. I'm getting a Mech (maybe it will be here tomorrow) and will try the 28ga on it. I think the opposite will be true using a mech.

Yea I'm using a vari too. Must be the Military grade components!!!!!

I also get droplets of juice in my mouth, did you make sure the bottom of your coil is pressed down and touching the base of the air hole, I stopped getting so much spit back after I made sure to not raise the coil any. But I notice I get more TH and it irritates my throat at the same wattage compared to a horizontal coil and less vapor, I do get a little more flavor but I think it's the droplets of juice.

I keep the toothpick in while I lay the cotton over top of it, and leave none of the top part of the coil exposed. When I look down, I cannot see metal at all. I don't get the droplets in mine. I don't know if that part of the coil is where you are getting the droplets from or not....but perhaps.

If you are inclined to try again, maybe see if that helps.

What do you mean "mixing volts and watts"?

Vapes good for the $$ but you'll know it's not your KFL

Yeah, for the price though, even if it's half as good I'm sure it's money well spent. I've read a lot of good reviews before I bought it. Most said it's very very close. I'm sure there will be some cheaper machining obviously.

Hey all you Kayfuners, have a question for ya. I've been using my first and only KFL+ for about 5 days now, my first coil build was a 1.2 ohm 28ga micro on cotton and worked perfectly, my second build was a 1.8 ohm built with cotton as well, and again worked perfectly with my mainstay Bobas Bounty, a pretty thick VG liquid...I'm now on my 3rd build, a .825ohm regular coil on 2.5mm silica wick, and once again wicks perfectly and produces lots of vapor, the flavor however is very disappointing, my Aspire Vivi Nova dual coil produces better flavor than this KFL on my Nemesis Matte (not a clone)...any flavor inhancement suggestions would be appreciated. Kinda bummed about this.

Probably too hot would be my reasoning. Not all liquids can take high heat.

Not really the full flavor I was excepting from the start Paul, based on all the builds I've seen here and on all the YouTube tutorials my coil/wick setups couldn't have been any better...hate to say this, my Aspire wins the Pepsi challenge at this point. My KFL air flow is set about middle of the road, coil mounted about 1/8" above the air passage, cotton wasn't to tight and never produced a dry hit, perfect middle out glow on all my builds. This KFL/Nemesis setup was pretty expensive, really thought flavor would be next level, guess that tells you how good the Aspire dual coils really are.

Gonna go build a 2ohm ish 30 gauge micro on cotton after a through cleaning and try it on both the KFL then the Sigelei, I'll post results in a few minutes.

Can't comment on the Aspire as I've never used them but used many other tanks. Many bcc's, cartos, gennys and none have compared to the kf's. Not trying to be a fanboy here I'm just stating my experiences with the kf's. Besides my rda's NOTHING has been as consistent in delivering a very satisfying vape. Can you post some pics of your build? I don't doubt they are good builds but there must be a reason for poor flavor. IMO that's the strong suit for kf's, the flavor.
