Well since I loved my my kfl & plus so much, I decided to pull the trigger on the mini 2.1! Read & saw a couple good Vids about... Anyone here have one that could tell me what ur setup is? I'm wondering what's the largest micro coil that you can fit in the mini that still performs great ?

Thanks for any help! Also, I can't seem to find a KF mini dedicated thread, so hope it's cool to post about it in here!

Also after trying something that I read a couple of days ago on here, my klf+ is performing perfectly for me & for the first time, I am on my fourth tank full & it's still going strong, but will probably change it out after this tank just to keep things clean. Up until now, the most I've gotten between cotton wicks was 2 tanks & never really a full 2nd tank.

Ok, so what I've always done is rolled my wicks very tight to slip the through the coils, well I tried making the coil larger & fanning out the wick tails & only rolling just the tip enough to start it through the coil. I'm using a 3/32nd bit currently & wow its wicking better than ever. Currently using 30 Awg @2 ohms @11 watts the plus is performing better for me than ever & I've tried a whole lot of builds this past month!

I am using almost exactly the same set up. 3/32, 30awg & cotton, I do change out my wicks and dry burn very other tank, since the tank is so big! I'm running 1.8 ohms on a mech, roughly 9 watts. This is my favorite atty, also thinking about a mini to go on my Microstick. Really interested to know your experience with it when you receive it.

I've got a Microstick ordered that should ship any minute...it requires a <16.5mm atty. I have a Spheroid for it, which is a awesome atty, but I love my KFL+ and wondered if the mini was just as good as it's big sister...

the k mini gives a very intensely flavorful vape imho...i cannot say with certainty that it is absolutely necessary to have one...to me, it's a bit of an excess with the bagua- like a cute toy that just fits nicely with my collection of other kayfun's....can i live without it- yes! do i use it daily? yes!

I'll be sure to post once I get it & get familiar with it! I hear it hits pretty hard, surprisingly so for its size!! I'm really looking forward to getting it, ordered from c 9 vaping & shipped yesterday, so hopefully by the end of next week?? If I'm lucky:) :)!

EDIT2: I'd like to also point out that with my vaping technique (pressing the button as I start inhaling, 2 - 3 second hits) I feel the coil gurgle a tiny bit after half a second when it heats up letting me know that its nice and wet.

So you actually like the gurgling sound and recommend gurgling to indicate the wick is saturated enough?

I keep hearing less is more but I have more success with more. Once I get my wick in the coil I put the chamber on and position the wicks.. then I tear off a couple tiny pieces of cotton and place them down on the wicks. I get dry hits if I don't use enough cotton.

I wouldn't call it gurgling.. to me, gurgling means flooded and I've never had the kfl flood. It's not a popping sound either.. I can't put a name to it but there's definitely a sound that accompanies a well saturated wick.

(and it's a good sound ;))

I think the less is more pertains to the cotton actually going through the coil. Too much will choke the wicking of the juice. If the extra cotton on the sides works for you, beautiful. I'm sure the viscosity of the juice is at play.

Maybe it's popping, like when you fire it before you put the chimney on to check your "vape action" before you assemble the entire atomizer

For me, it's somewhere between a crackle & a gurgle. A wet crackle. If we think taste subjective, I guess sound is, too!

For me it's a nice uniform sizzle sound.

So you actually pack more cotton on the deck where the cotton wicks lay to suck up the juice? Does this help to give a little bit more saturation in the wick since you can initially store more juice since you have more cotton wick to work with? I was thinking about doing that since I've seen people packing extra wick in the single vertical style builds

I don't actually "pack" it.. just sorta place it down on top of the wicks to add more. I haven't tried a vertical wick. I can tell a big difference between a wimpy wick with wimpy tails and a wick that has some resistance going through the coils and a little extra cotton down in the chamber.

But yes, I do place more cotton down on the deck where the cotton wicks lay to absorb more juice :)

I'm running a 1.6 ohm micro-could on an Opus D. I seem to have burning issues if I take it above 14 watts. Anyone else running a similar set-up? Anyone taking their wattage higher than that?

I've run a 1.2Ω coil at 14 watts with no problems.
