anyone know where i can get another m tank? i ran some suicide bunny derailed (cinnamon banana something or other) through my kayfun and now my m tank looks white. i always thought it was only the citrusy liquids that did that to the plastic but i guess probably the cinnamon did that too. vaperev is the only place ive seen the m-tank and they are sold out

Cinnamon is the almighty God of tank killers..

Best of luck with your search for a M Tank.

If they were able to figure out how to get a glass tank for the ProTank.. Somebody has to figure out how to get glass into the Klite.

The difference is that the Protank has a threaded center tube, which captures the tank section between the base and the top cap. The Kayfun doesn't.

If the chimney threaded into the top section, it'd be very much like a big Protank 2.

But you'd also want to change out the base (if going full glass) or metal tank sections (if going band of glass) to replace the unnecessary threads with o-rings. And suddenly you've pretty much redesigned the whole atomiser, perhaps having to change the dimensions as well to make sure the chimney and chimney / top section join was sturdy enough to hold the whole thing together.

KFL 2, SvoeMesto? Anyone speak Russian? :)

But aftermarket, I could see a glass / metal sleeve tank replacing the three tank sections. You'd just need the top and bottom metal sections to thread into each other, and the glass bit to be held in place inside with o-rings. Probably heavy, but its heavy enough already, so who cares.

Probably blooming expensive too, because not much demand...

(edit - I wonder if there'd be enough space for liquid then, unless you bulged out the tank. Maybe not so possible after all...?)

(edit again - but then if there were enough metal and very small windows, perhaps the glass could be made quite thin, and not need to bear any appreciable load?)

Cloud9 has them in stock right now. I'm currently stalking their site for the nano kit :)

Intaste.de has them in stock, in colors, too. Intaste will back out the VAT at checkout since it will be shipping to the US. Cloud9 does not.

It is pretty annoying that C9 doesn't take off the VAT charge.

Cloud9 is in England, which is not in the European Union. England does not give any breaks to merchandise shipped outside of the country. Intaste is in Germany, part of the EU, and the EU does back it out.

I've never bought this but maybe contact them and find out for sure if it's shorter.

I just received a KFL+ from C9V and they didn't charge VAT. I placed another order for some extra bits today and they didn't charge it then either. I live in Canada.

That's because we still have "her" on our money.. you know, HRM The Queen*. :D

* I don't claim any of this to be fact. It should be though!

We are in the EU, we just have a slightly distant relationship to it, having never joined the Eurozone.

(and no - not that anyone was going to ask - I don't have a clue about the VAT thing, sorry)

Yesterday I posted my latest KFL coil build using Kanthal ribbon, after a tankful I have to say the ribbon provides better flavor, TH and slightly more vapor than any of my 1.2ohm round Kanthal coils did, the ribbon build measured at 1.6 ohms and 1.5mm diameter.

Todays build is with the same Kanthal ribbon, the difference this time is the stacked dual coil… the flavor the Aspire coils produce inspired me to try their same style stacked coil arrangement on the KFL…this one measures out at 1.56 ohms, it's not the prettiest coil on the block but works great, and it's producing more vapor than the single coil ribbon…flavor report by days end tomorrow.

Here's a look at it…

Your right Divrr, the wicks do move slightly when the inner tube is installed, before priming the wicks I make the necessary slight adjustments before the chimney goes on...good catch, I will orient your way next time.

As far as the ribbon build goes...between the standard 1.5mm/28ga/1.2ohm cotton coil, the 1.5mm/28ga/1.2ohm cotton VERTICAL CARTO style coil and the 1.6ohm ribbon build...even early on the fresh ribbon build It's producing the best vape of the 3, great throat hit, slightly warmer, more vapor and flavor is better than the others, maybe the Bobas likes a slightly higher resistance coil, the Aspire coils I was using were 1.8ohm and produced a great flavor, I'll be taking a page out of the Aspire book on my next build...gonna basically copy their coil layout.

I do have some ribbon left and been meaning to give it a go on the lite. I did like the vapor it was producing on my gennys but it was weird because there was hardly any TH compared to the round. I had it set up in the ac-9, maybe a 3 wrap which was like .6 or something, this was on a porous ceramic wick so just about everything was completely different compared to doing this in a kayfun, micro coil and cotton wick. I guess I just never really tried it because I was thinking about the TH issue. I know there have been good results with the ribbon wraps touching, they call it a tin man coil.

I always believe that a thicker wire will always produce a better flavor, whether it is 26g round or thicker or a wide ribbon wire. is that hemp fibers? love that stuff. since using the hemp, I rarely use cotton anymore. sorry maybe that is cotton and its just the color of your juice.

that's exactly it. this doesn't dramatically change the kayfun at all, it just allows more feed potential.

svoemesto I'm sure put a lot of R&D into this atty and I think it's an awesome design with awesome craftsmanship, but I also think the final design is calibrated to suit the masses. I'm sure if the juice delivery could have easily been made adjustable then they may have, but it isn't, it is a fixed orifice. mercedes builds an awesome vehicle but that doesn't mean that amg can't take that vehicle and make it better

enlarging these orifices is not much different from enlarging an air hole in an atty cap. stock it obviously isn't going to have a large air hole but if you vape at higher power then you simply need more air so the air hole is drilled larger.

svoemesto didn't calibrate this thing to feed enough fluid to reliably vape microcoils at 15-20 watts. if he did it would flood more easily for all of the general population that are vaping 7-11 watts. svoemesto designed this thing around a few wraps of light gauge wire wrapped around silica, not for LR 28 ga microcoils or microcoils at 5 and 6 volts. if svoemesto themselves were asked to calibrate this atty to the juice flow of a 20 watt vape guess what they would do to the design? first thing they would do would be to open up the juice channels :) then perhaps the air flow too.

nobody needs to hotrod there kayfun, it's not needed at all, but hotrodded it is better for me. right now this thing is working awesome for me, I'm thrilled with the vape I get from it :)

totally agree. since doing this I have had zero dry hits, not that I really had any before but on occasion with higher wattage builds the flavor was lacking, now the vape seems a little juicier imo. one thing that happened, which doesn't really bother me because I rarely keep in my wicks much more then 4 days but with my last build I had kept my wicks in for like a week, well I guess the hemp kind of got whimpy and maybe couldn't hold as much liquid as when new, but it started gurgling. I rewicked and all was good again
