Quick question: how do you know if the insulator is burnt? So I'm getting this ridiculous plasticy and burnt taste. Definitely not from the coil nor the cotton wick. I've taken my kfl apart, and the plastic insulator doesn't look burnt or melted at all. Hmm

Whats your mod/coil resistance/volt or watt settings? Doesnt sound right. also take a pic of your wicking and post- that sometimes is the key for burnt hits.

Provari and MVP2. I've probably built approx 7 boils, all between 1.7 and 1.9 ohms. On my MVP 2 i run 8 watts, on my provari I run 4V. pictures below

Anybody know any tips for filling the kayfun /Russian? I've tried the fill holes and then saw the video where you fill it from the top. I hold the air hole, fill it, but everytime, I get leakage from the air hole after I seal the top cap... Not sure where the pressure is coming from.

I fill using the fill hole. No leaks, filling from the top was problematic for me make sure all your o-rings are in place and everything is nice and tight before filling and hold it upside down and you should be good to go.

Keep finger over air hole when filling, start putting the top cap on until and just catches, flip the Kayfun over and wait a second, then screw the top cap down while still upside down. You flip it over so the air bubble travels to the deck area, so the pressure caused when screwing down releases air instead of juice.

Also, don't fill it up all the way, leave some room for air. I've been usually filling this way and it works great.

Thus you need a dual coiled .8Ω and the power of X...

In addition to the previous advice, be aware that some juices can expand the 4c o-ring. When that seal is broken, it definitely leaks through the air hole.

If you received a spare, check to see if they're still the same size. If they're not, and you still want to run that juice, there have been links to inexpensive replacements posted in this thread.

Here's a picture from the SvoëMesto Kayfun Lite manual:

I must say that I am impressed with the coton yarn in my coil!! It is perfect with removing 1 strand and the vape is awesome. I just can't get the cotton balls consistent with each wick even though I think it is slightly better than the PnC yarn. But I am able to have pretty much the same wick every time!! I will keep practicing with cotton balls and have a roll of sterile cotton to try as well!! But for now, I was surprised how easy the yarn is working out!!
Added a little carbon fiber accent from jwraps to the Russian, wasn't crazy about the original finish, like the KFL finish much better!!

qorax, how you liking the aqua? for me its the aqua under .6 and the kayfun over. the vapes are equal imo, but when I feel the need for super low res vape, the aqua handles it so much better

doubt its the insulator. the only thing I see which maynot be the issue and is slightly varied from most builds are, for one it seems like your coil is very low, almost touching the deck. this can produce a gunky coil very fast, thus causing a burnt taste. I would raise it slightly. I like the bottom of the coil about 1/4 below the top of the screw head. also what is the diameter of your coil? if its the 1/16 variety the wick could be slightly to thick, if your diameter is 5/64 it looks close to the correct thickness. but then again its hard to tell from these photos, your coil could be positioned perfectly and im totally wrong. how are you getting clouds from that one photo, I don't see a wick.

Hahah that's the cotton wick. I pulled it up to show the height of the coil. I guess I'll really lift the coil up and try it one last time. Thanks a ton for being patient enough to troubleshoot this with me though!

you know what happened once, or at least I think it was the cause. I keep my cotton balls in the package it came in, all sealed up. I usually take out one ball and cut it up into strips and keep these in a separate bag. these strips I use a lot, almost every day or two when rebuilding. well after handeling this cotton for a week or so I think they got spoiled and weren't fresh because maybe I wasn't washing my hands enough. anyways have you used a totally fresh cotton ball? or pieces that been handled maybe to often? just a thought
