There's a vape shop in North Toronto that sells the KFL+. I purchased one on Saturday, and (fingers crossed) apparently it will be shipped early this week. The total price (incld tax and shipping) was $135 and change.

The same vendor also sells the Semovar, which looks very interesting.

Who's the vendor, Glenn?!

Dashvapes, which I think is fairly new, although there's some good feedback about this place on the Canada subforum.

Btw we're in for another 10 cm of snow tomorrow here in Toronto. You picked a great time to be in the tropics!

I just got my Kayfun last week and been loving it. I've just built builds with silica and 32gauge kanthal. Had it on my SVD and is vaping great! Most builds were around 1.4-1.7. I just got a ZNA and put the Kayfun on it and it immediately tasted burnt at the lowest wattage setting (7). I know the DNA 30 has no voltage reducing capabilities and was trying to figure out what I need to do. I just built one at a higher ohm (2.4) and it is doing the exact same thing. I am going to go get some more kanthal and some organic cotton to try a microcoil build. My questions are: is a silica build hard to get to work with higher voltage?, what size wire should I get and what size/how many wraps should I try my first micro coil at? Has anyone got a good silica build working with the dna 30? Thanks

Got my drop nano kit from vapor solutions. I was waiting for it to get here so I can decide if I should get the nano tank from ultravape but seeing that their nanos are 2mm taller then the official nano, I'm not sure if the chimney top from the drop kit will fit :(

Looking down the drip tip hole I can see part of the oring still.

Just calledVapeRev and they do have them in stock for 100. So I ordered it along with some 5 pawns

I just did the same thing! lol... minus the five pawns... Bought me a Kayfun though for $100.00! mine arrives today, im so happy!! Nice living in socal, since vaperev is a one-day ship zone to me.

I've been meaning to try some gambit, I've heard it's their best juice... queenside was very "meh"... If the idea of queenside sounds good to you, a better version (and muchhhh cheaper) is ECBlends - Dragon's Tear - Orange/Cream.

The ECBlends version of an orange cream is much, much better... as far as flavor balance goes.

I just got my nano from ultra. The stock chimney does poke up a lot. So I have to get a shirt chimney now. I have a few whole clear kits so I may just chop some off of one for now as I have too many lol. I also have the Science of Vaping extended top cap and the chimney is still too long.

I'm a newbie with a provari v2 and MVP 2...waiting on vapemail for my zna 30...I have a kfl lite + rev 2. With 28gauge kanthal cotton wick @ 1.5... I vape at 4.0v on provari and 8.5-10 watts on MVP 2...no burn taste...

Juices: old orchard reserve, suicide bunny mm, vapetrik mr. Rips, lucky 7 vapes Caribbean punch/ piña colada.

Never taste burnt...

However, I have few other juices that taste burnt at any hint of warmth is achieved in chamber...

So, i suspect that it's your juice that can't take the heat or your setup is not wicking well to keep up with the warmer coils...I would play with wick some more or try cotton( little goes a long way). Check kayfun lite build thread for ideas.

the problem you are having is most likely a couple of things, for one I would switch to at least 30g but even better would be 28. with a dna -30 you will be able to push this wire with no issues and reap the benefits. with a thicker gauge you can achieve more wick coverage and will have an overall better vape. I also would switch to cotton and micro coil for sure, find a bit diameter between 1.7 to 2.0mm, using the 28g do between 10 to 13 wraps and your set. this should give you resistances between 1.0 to 1.5ish ohms. set the mod to your desired wattage and go. or if the device doesn't have a setting like that just adjust to your liking. although the svd is a decent device its nothing like a dna chip, with a dna chip its so much more efficient and low wraps with 32g wire just doesn't cut it.

Everything this man said above is truth. It may or may not be your "best" setup, but it will be an amazing point to start from.

Here's my attempt at doing a coil with a gap in the middle. Not that pretty, but I have a good feeling about it. 28ga Kanthal, 1.02ohm.

hey jerms my particular experiments in the past with the flavor gap or dibby crack is possibly a slight increase in flav but a reduced TH and overall reduced punch. this might be appealing for those who find a micro coil a little too hot or strong as the gap makes for a less intense vape imo. I guess its because the center of the micro is the hottest and by creating this space it reduces the overall punch just a little.

So far the vape seems about the same with this build as with a standard build, not getting any less TH. The vape actually feels a touch harsher, but that may be from a different factor than the gap.

Flavor and vapor is good, so I'm just hoping it gunks slower with the dirty juice I have planned for it. When I rebuild it after the going through the gunky juices, I'll probably go back to a standard coil.

The tarsius ones 22od 19id 1.5mm thickness and 24mm height. Not sure about the SOV vaping ones. If you order those dimensions on IBTanked you will get 3 Pyrex tubes for $33 plus shipping. Good deal. I was charged $18 plus shipping for 1 replacement quartz tube from JVapes. And broke it in minutes.

Just a quick update and a big thanks to Woody :toast:

Earlier today, I received my order from IBTanked. Vaping my first tank with the tarsius kit as I type this! excuse the terrible image:

Ordered it exactly as Woody described, worked flawlessly.

Filled it from the top, still haven't tried the fill port.

UGH! I've had this in my cart for like a month lol. Of course I missed it, and I REFUSE to pay $15 for a plastic tank! I hope it comes back on the daily deal soon...
