As long as u dont get the wick under the coil between the deck n coil you'll be fine.

Sent from my Nexus 5

Im now thinkn you are right, this build may even be ''leak proof'' as this way the wick does not touch the deck at all as opposed to the 'horizontal'' build....me goona try this.Who ever was the person who designed this tank deserves the NOBAL peace prize.Wait a miniute, the wick does touch the deck,on second thought ill stick the the stock build.

Im gettn to like the flavour cotton gives the juice,im so used to SS cable, cotton is a tad muted but smoother tasting and TH is smoother but still there. With SS wicks i was getting and after taste i now have noticed since im doing cotton, cotton is the way too go ,at the moment,i may change my thought s again,i cant seem to make up my mind.

Woah, Vapor-solutions had the quarts glass kit for $25, and nano quarts kit in $30... thats the cheapest ive seen. Anyone ordered these from them? Ive gotten the drop kit from them n love it.

I dont have any tank crackers nor have I had any tanks crack on me so it would be more as a want then need lol.

at the 19:27 mark of the video, you'll see him lifting the coil off the deck

I'm not sure, but I've had it sit on my deck once, and I ended up with a half molten insulator. once bitten, twice shy. I never dared to try it again :p
Must have blinked at that point....lol Thanks for pointing that out.

Considering that their prices for clones otherwise seem a bit higher than I'd expect, $70 where I'd expect more like $50-$55, the price for the quartz kit seems low. I only paid $10 for my black Nemesis aluminum tubes, they wanted $25. Granted you're paying to get it in a week not a month but that seems like bigger markup than I'd pay.

All these new clones coming out with 2mm airholes.

Here i look at my authentic V2's sighing that I had to drill it to 2mm myself.
cry.gif

I may just order a clone just to experiment drilling out the center pin. I havent build up enough courage to do it on my authentics lol.

Hahaha I thought of you the moment I received a couple of them. The 2mm airholes are huge, and loosens the draw a hell lot. I can actually do lung inhales on them now.

As a plus, these airholes come with the edges slightly beveled, and it's my quietest vape by far. No whistle at all

First you try to be my girlfriend then you think of me....

Yeah im really loving my Kayfuns with 2mm drilled holes... for a lung inhaler like me, its perfect.

Even better then the R91 design to eliminate the whistle? I was gonna sell the KFL+v2 im getting from vaperev to my friend, then I thought about keeping it.... now its back to selling it again and use half that cash on that "black edition v2" and the other half on a orion top cap and another damn drop kit but with a more taller chimney. I just love my authentics doe.... If i wasnt taking multiple vacations this summer then id just buy it all but my girlfriend (sorry not you ) has her eyes on me lol.

Another thing ive noticed, is that people say adjusting the center pin post hole to face the airhole fixes the noise/whistle. Its the opposite for me. Mine dont whistle anymore with the drilled airhole but it is more high pitched, and def did whistle louder pre drilling. ATM i have it to an angle and it doesnt affect airflow.

You are always in my mind~~~ you were always on my mind~~~

Ok but serious (lol)

I think you're gonna love the BE. I've had to tighten up my draw considerably. In terms of the quietness of vape, it's pretty much the same as the r91: just the sound of air rushing in (which I love hearing)

That aside, I've never understood what people say about adjusting the center post so that the air hole on it aligns with the air channel. On my authentic kfl v2, my center post hole sits approx 60degrees from the air channel. There is simply no way to align it. Twisting it anti clockwise makes the positive deck come loose. I can't even twist it clockwise; it's just too tight. The ONLY way I can think of around this, is to sand down the centre post insulator which I'm not a fan of. At this point my kfl sits flush with my provari, and I don't wanna mess up the 510 contact. Is there smth I'm missing out on?

some kayfuns are able to tighten to align the holes. A fix for those that cant align them would be adding one of the smaller orings (used 1 from my r91 extra bag) and placed it on the center pin, between the contact and insulator. Also sanding it half a mm wouldnt hurt. You could also switch the post insulators from a R91 lol.

So im almost 99% certain that the leaks/ little bit of juice under the KFL+ found when taking off the atty is from the AFC screw. Ive been thinking it was the fill hole screw oring losing its shape and the seal. So I added another oring making it 2 total... after a tank there was still juice around the area.

Yeah. I think I mentioned this a few pages back. The fill hole on a plus doesn't leak. The AFC screw is not sealed. So that's a leak source.

No wonder my R91 never had that problem. Haha if only Kebo released a brushed finish, I would pick it up in a heart beat. Only reason why I sold my R91 was that I removed all the matte and brushed the metal to match my mods but kept the base that had the "Russian 91" print on it, as I didnt wanna scrape that off.

I must be the only fella who prefers the russian over the kayfun.

IMO, the airhole design is just waaaay better, and I personally prefer having the AFC screw on the side; I adjust my airflow throughout the day depending on my mood, and having to unscrew my kfl to do it is just a PITA

Overall i thought the R91 was better designed in terms of airflow and functionallity. The biggest gripe I had was the finish as said below, and the deck screws and how tiny they were compared to the KFL+. Though I never tried using the extra screws from my KFL+ though lol. Another thing that I had issues with but didnt bother me too much was the 510 drip tip adapter and how it always came loose and wasnt really a way to tighten it.

I prefer the r91 AFC to the plus, but really dislike the finish on the r91. So I rarely use mine.

This is exactly how i felt. Even when I brushed majority of the R91 and polished it to have a nice brush finish... i couldnt bring myself to ruin the R91 print on the base... so I had to let it go since I hadnt used it since getting KFL+ V2's.

I dealt with whistling, what felt like a tighter draw (before drilling), and a small amount of juice leaks on the bottom with the KFL+ when I had a nice R91 in my tool box for vaping. Looks have kinda became a big thing for me now
