And of course, I recognize the truth of "you get what you pay for," it's just that I don't have an unlimited budget, so I have to get what I can afford. I was just really really REALLY tired of those little T3S tanks and their constant burnt taste, gurgling, leaking, etc etc etc, especially once I learned to build coils. I found another tobeco KFL+ on ebay that had just been listed for bids, so maybe I'll luck out and get another decent clone for a pretty decent price.

You need to just bite the bullet on wait time and get the recommended cheap fasttech Kayfun clones. There are a few under $20 that are quite decent. If you need I'll look up which ones and post, I've got them saved for myself once I get over my "gotta have black atomizers" phase.

BTW, in your report I'm sure you will compare it to the current pinnacle of vaping (SM Kayfun) that has a pricetag of aprox. $99 US. This EK-001 appears to be significantly more so it would be nice to include your opinion as to whether the increase in cost is justified. Again, I suspect you will. Please make additional notes if this thing does anything additional to the Kayfun such as vacuuming floors, making beds, or washing dishes.

Nah, I can't deal with that kind of wait -- if it was a definite amount of time, I could maybe handle it, but if they tell me 3 wks and it's not here, I'm gonna freak out completely, and my nerves just can't stand that. More importantly, MY HUSBAND'S nerves can't stand that, for me to be bouncing off the walls in pure raging impatience. He'd probably pay a LOT!!! to avoid that.

I'm in that bidding thing at eBay for the Tobeco KFL+ like the one I have that I love, so I'm hanging in for that. So far my bid is still the highest, but still less than I paid for that cheapie that I'm starting to get really annoyed with.

Well, he does have his outstanding moments -- and he's also hellaciously handy with tools of all kinds! But he can be a real pill too -- we've found that long term marriage is a lot more about toleration than anything else. We fit each other perfectly in some ways, and it's just enough.

He's currently looking at the new telephony/internet router modem thing that just came by UPS today, to replace my 3 yr old telephony modem, so I gotta disconnect the old one so I can connect the new one.

Just watched Todd's Review on it the other night. That is gong to look super nice on your WEII. I was going to get a WEII but I was worried about it being 21mm. Should have just went ahead and grabbed one, they are so sexy . Oh well maybe I can pick one up 2nd hand. Post a bunch of pictures when you get the EK-001!

Just built a single coil in my russian 91% v2 from DNA, everything was fine, 1.1 ohms on my meter and cana, loaded it with juice and organic cotton from 365 whole foods and this vape tastes chemically and really weird.

did i do something wrong?

Did you clean the R91 before you used it? I alway boil my new attys (or just to clean) on low for around 15 min, scrub with warm soapy water then rinse with cold water. and Other than that, there is not much I can think of that would give you a chem taste other than the juice (assuming the cotton is legit).

I DID not clean it, is that safe to clean that way? or maybe just do an alcohol 91%iso shake?

If it's new... yes you are vaping the machine oils. None of mine were that bad I just cleaned them up with dish soap and they were fine.

Gonna disassemble it and wrap it again tomorrow after a wash/alcohol dip. Yeah I kinda figured, but I watched someone say that there 91% came cleaned already. I got new juice in the mail coming tomorrow.

I also used a very mild solution of dish soap, rinsed well in hot running water, then rinsed again at our reverse-osmosis filtered tap... our water is very hard here, so we got a whole-house filtration thing, it saves buying reservoirs of distilled. I used to use the isopropyl alcohol shake for my small tanks, but I don't think it's really necessary, if you just wash it with mild soap and rinse it well.
