I also used a very mild solution of dish soap, rinsed well in hot running water, then rinsed again at our reverse-osmosis filtered tap... our water is very hard here, so we got a whole-house filtration thing, it saves buying reservoirs of distilled. I used to use the isopropyl alcohol shake for my small tanks, but I don't think it's really necessary, if you just wash it with mild soap and rinse it well.

Love your avatar. :D

Thank you Andria, I am a MAJOR Kubrick fan, aside from the boys who just know about clockwork. I think Eyes Wide Shut is my favorite Kubrick flick, I think its amazing piece of work, of how the erieness builds.

Curiously, how does one go about drying this thing of having excess water or something before I throw this on my mod?

I dry my vape gear with just the dish towel I use on my dishes. Then it sits there to dry completely overnight. If I want to use something right away I just use a paper towel. If its an atomizer I've learned to remember to blow through air holes and fill holes to get the water out of them.

I am not sure what you guys are talking about. The Russians come in pristine clean condition straight out of the box. No oils, burrs, nothing. They are packaged after running thru an ultrasonic cleaner. Yes, it has been confirmed by KEBO.

My three came absolutely neat and clean KEBOTech sealed. Two from different authorized stockists. But yes, like I do with everything of mine, I wash them with soapy water before use.

Hey Qorax. My last Russian had some residue black stuff in the threads when I got it. It was gone after the first cycle in the ultra sonic cleaner though. I noticed it as odd because it's the only one I've seen with it.

You're not the only one. I always wash out my new atties. For my latest one, I used a qtip to scrub the center post channel and it came out a distinct shade of grey.

In any case, always a good thing to wash out new gears!

Go to youtube and look at a few videos. Great way to learn many ways to use the Kayfun.
Just received an Ehpro kay-lite clone in the mail. It came with wicks and black twine. This is a big thread, whats the quickest way for me to get up to speed on how to use this thing?

thanks

My husband likes that one a great deal, and he LOVES! Full Metal Jacket. I'm more partial to Clockwork Orange -- McDowell was sheer genius in that film -- and The Shining; King did his own version, which in a lot of ways was better, certainly truer to the book, but it's hard to beat Nicholson with an axe screaming HEEEEERE'S JOHNNY!" :D

Curiously, how does one go about drying this thing of having excess water or something before I throw this on my mod?

I just wad up some paper towels lengthwise; I usually give it a good rinse after every wick change. Or if you just kinda FLING! the water out, not enough remains to be really significant.

Just grabbed it today ~ shipping tomorrow. Stoked√

So, what did I learn at VapeSchool today? Never judge a book by it's cover.

My first impression of this RTA was, why would anybody pay that for a Vivi Nova clone with dimples on top? (silly me) BUT - I watched Todd's review and learned that it's SOOO much more. I don't think the black plastic drip tip does it justice but with all the other options both proprietary or via the adapter, and the easy fill, it's quite impressive.

Thanks for sharing Qorax! (and the lesson) ;)

A pleasure Snap!

And LOL, Vivi Nova? But yes, at first glance it does look so.

Here's the innards:

I'm at 3 business days since my current order shipped. Previous one took around a week if I remember correctly, but that was around 6 or so months ago. Let's see how this one does.

Fasttech order just arrived. Shipped on the 28th, delivered today. 6 business days.. I can deal with that. :)

When I got my Kayfun Lite Plus v2, I completely stripped it apart insulators, o'rings and all. For all the screws and metal parts, I soaked it in 100% Pure Acetone (must be 100% pure). Don't put o rings or plastic parts in the acetone, it will melt it. I then dropped all parts it in a soapy water bath, then rinse with clean water. Reassembled and gtg

100% Pure Acetone is great for stripping surface contaminates from metal. I use Acetone on my silver bullion, to remove oily grim, fingerprints, or any other contaminates. It is also know in the coin collecting industry as a great preservation / cleaning tool.

I think it all depends on what you order from them, and if it is in stock or not. I waited 2 months for a kayfun nano kit. Yea it was only like $5 bucks but by the time it came i had already bought 3 nano kits from else where lol. What did you order from FT Dusty? I would order from them a lot more if they could ship to me in 6 days :)
