I forget what issues are you having with your kayfun?

The quality of your cotton can also give you issues. At first I was using dollar general cotton balls. The quality of them makes it harder to work. Using walgreen's organic cotton balls now (much fuller cotton balls) I can't make a bad wick using those cotton balls

Bronze.... you would not regret getting a Rotty. I've had the honor of >10 in my life and every one was the aces. Give you a little example.... I once had a brace with the male "security" trained. They were both off leash trained to boot. There was a young girl in my neighborhood who used to come over and watch me train them. Then she would then go with me to the park and I'd let her put the dogs through their paces and play with them. They came to love her and watched over her. At the park one day two jerks approached her began to hassle her. All I saw when I realized what was happening was two black flashes and then she had two large snarling dogs between her and the jerks. Needless to say the jerks left quickly and the Rottys went back to their "stations" to continue to monitor things. I swear that is what it's like with them. They are always watching and ready to react but on the other hand they are gentle giants ready to be "pillows" for the kids watching TV. If my health was better I'd have them again, but they need to much attention and training for me now and it really upsets me.
Get one and don't look back.... you will never regret the decision. Just make sure you watch the genetics... they are very over bred.

Apologies if I got carried away....

I understand your love of the Rots. They make great companions as well as providing security. I'm not in a position to own a dog but one day I might. Labs tend to be lovers but they also can be trained to protect. I wouldn't mess with my neighbor's lab. :)

That's possible mgm. Truthfully, I get lax on the cotton wicks I make and I still have had no issues. I'm using some WallyWorld sterile cotton balls that i boiled.

Give it a try and let me know. How long have you had the device? And which one is it? Sometimes it just the smallest things that makes a big difference and it just may take a few more builds to find it. If there is one thing that I wish I could change in the kayfun, it would be a design that would allow you to make a build without having to take out the juice. This would allow for a much shorter learning curve for most. that's why I love working on my aqua tanks, you can turn upside down and unscrew base while keeping the juice in the upper part. The chimney stays attached to top cap and tank section. when re wicked, or re coiled, you can just thread base back into juiced tank section. So all the kayfun needs to achieve this is for the chimney and chimney top to be one piece, and to make it possible to stay attached to the top cap. Maybe some threads inside the little chimney top hole. If this had some threads, then maybe there could be a drip tip that threaded down into it, this would make the chimney stay. If this could be done, all you need to do is to flip over device and unscrew bottom deck and keep everything else intact, including the juice. In theory it should work but who knows? Maybe one day I will modify one to see.

Epoxy the chimney pieces together, and to the top cap.. remove the o-ring first. I would try it on a cheap FT clone to start..

Yes that's what I am saying.... does not take much to get a working cotton ball.... if your having issues first thing I would look into is your cotton balls. The organic cotton balls from walgreens did cost a little more I think 4 bucks for 80. Worth every penny for them

I agree. I think all cotton will work, but each one will have different characteristics. Some will require more thru the coil while some less. also some might have slight differences in flavor as well. The hardest part of the build is the wicking and I do think the type of cotton is, and could have different results.

That would work but it would be nice if i could do it where it wouldn't be permanent. But at least if the epoxy works, it could be done. Thanks

Anybody used the big kayfun clone.. the 20ml version? I have read they may not hold that much juice but wanted the bigger version to match my new seven 30 26650 mod

Yes, I've got all three of them. But beware none of them actually hold 20 ML. 10 - 11 ML in reality.

That's quite a difference in chamber size between the top and bottom pics. Who makes the one you didn't put a company name on, or is it unidentified? Does the chamber size affect taste?

That's classified information, LOL

I've got it at Fast Tech and, as you know, they don't like to reveal their clone makers.

That's it thanks for finding it. This will be my bible the next couple of days.

Regal, thanks for posting and Bronze, thank you for shooting it! Just picked up a KFL Plus yesterday. The kind folks at the B&M set it up for me (I have a bit of experience with Reos but needed more). It was working fine until the dry hits started. I re-wicked, using much less cotton and following your tutorial and PBusardo's video and yippee!

This is one amazing topper! Thanks again for making it user-friendly. I'm all about ease and flavor. I'm in love with my Reos for that but have been wanting to have that combination in a more pocket-friendly format. (Reos are probably pocket-friendly, just haven't figured that out yet). Now I'm set for home and on the road :)

A light vaper might also have problems with a kayfun that has not come up yet ( I think) for lack of a better word someone might not SUCK hard enough to pull juice into the chamber and if you sucked too hard you could flood it.

I think the kayfun's are pretty forgiving but it may be an issue for a select few

Guys, it is my regret to inform you that I had to go back to using organic cotton instead of rayon in this ToBeCo 28.5mm Kayfun Lite.
I really tried to give the rayon a fair chance. I rewicked it "Six ways to Sunday" with less rayon, more rayon and so on... But it always ended up dry hitting at some point. Obviously, the wick was not kipping up with my 0.6 Ohms high efficiency ribbon coil with non resistive leads at 30 Watts approximately. But when I switched back to cotton - problem was solved. I have no problem using rayon in a dozen of differed RBA and RDA including several regular sized Kayfuns. It's just this one Big Kayfun had me work overtime.
