So redid this one really super quick it's at 1 ohm exactly
28g
How I landed 1 ohm exactly on the hdmm is crazy

This lets you see how high the coils are

God given talent that's how, and the problem with the kayfun.

I don't see that as a problem with a keypunch can't use it on regulated bit it's in nanomode anyway so it'll go on the baby mech as a stealth unit for now.
I haven't wrapped a dual coil on one if these in months- what a pain to set.

I agree on your direction, the first and second pic is like you described. All I was saying in a previous post was that I never heard of setting up a single micro coil parallel to screws in a kayfun. Duals work this way because they are closer to the channels and each coil wick can have there own juice wells

The first you-tube video of a kayfun build I watched was a European guy building a micro coil parallel to the screws.

Looks like for each coil, he snipped on end of the wick real short, and laid the other end long on the deck.

Personally I would rather have both ends short, but enough to reach the deck. I would think that's a far more efficient way of getting juice to the whole cool

That's kind of what I was thinking

So then shouldn't the 1.5mm have more turns then the 1/16 coil for the same resistance?

Those numbers were taken from builders' posts, so I wouldn't take them as gospel.
In any case, assuming the same number of turns on both 1.5mm and 1/16", showing the same resistance reading could be due to rounding of the ohm number (one was 1.46, one was 1.53). If the meter resolved to two decimal places the difference would be apparent.

I am struggling with building again. My first build with the pads is still going strong, I'm afraid to take it apart. This was with my Ephro.

So I decided to build my Tobeca. I have literally built and rebuilt a dozen times, all to the same result burn cotton after about a dozen vapes.

Do I want the cotton to stop where the top horizontal deck meets the posts so as to not block the wicking channels?

Also I'm using 5/65 drill bit how wide of strip of cotton should I use?

The videos make it all seem so easy, possibly this trobeca is defective, when filling I'm getting juice out the drip tube and the intake, can't figure out how that happens.

Haven't seen a dual wicked like that before, looks like it's run in a circle.

Looks like for each coil, he snipped on end of the wick real short, and laid the other end long on the deck.

I've always done them like that; never had a dry hit.
Each coil feeds from the well below it. The wick just runs straight down and its thinner than it looks; but, it is a little long.

Maybe it's just the pic then but it looked like one wick tail from on coil goes to the opposite coil or something.

It just seems opposite to me, the 1.5mm coil should state 11 wraps and the 1/16 should state 10.

How much cotton is the million dollar question for sure. It's so hard to put a measurement on it, it's more of a feel thing. As for location of tails? You said you were having previous dry hit issues, where were these placed? Maybe try something slightly different this time. So if the last tail was well away from channels then try a little closer. I personally have my tails pretty darn close to channels, almost right on top. Also like you said, could be the device, maybe airflow issues
