for me it feels like it heats faster then a single wire of equal diameter. also the way it holds juice seems to make it a little tastier. another reason i use it sometimes is just to use up all that 32g wire that's been gathering dust because i wont use it as a single wire. i really like it in dual coil applications because it just feels a little faster and when you have 2 coils that's important. even in single coils like my kayfun at 1.4ish ohms, i have used 28g a lot and when i compare it to a twisted 32g coil of the same resistance, it just seems to be slightly better. i don't know exactly for sure the real differences, and maybe its just in my head, but i feel the flavor is just a bit better. but all in all, basically i have 32, 30, used to have 29, have 28, 27, and 26g wire. if i am doing a dual coil in the resistance range of .8 to 1 ohm on a mech a 28g build is to slow. if i use 30g in that build i feel its not enough wick coverage because of the amount of wraps and to thin of a wire. if i use twisted 30g its to slow(slower then a single 28g and overall to much wire) this now brings me to use a single 32g wire(not gonna happen) so i feel the best is twisted 32g, it gives me the best wick coverage and heat up time for that dual coil scenario. now if i do a dual coil at much lower resistances like .4 ohms, i wouldn't use twisted 32g.
