OK Diver, coils are ready. Just waiting for a tank to empty. Probably tomorrow.

Two, twisted 32 gauge, 10-wrap, on a 16 ga. blunt tip (measured 1.65 mm on digital caliper).

looks really good. I usually just pass the wire over my gas stove then torch after I make a coil, but maybe the extra heat from a torch initially helps. next time will try. its hard with twisted 32 to get all wraps touching like a single thicker gauge for sure but I think your good to go.

Perfect match for my sx300.... it's huge.

No issues came nice and clean...threads good.

The drip tip is too large for me going to use a regular drip tip which fits fine

(Don't know why sometimes ecf uploaded pics turn on me)

I just rexieved an SX3000 tube. My only concern with the Kayfun is the lower ohm coils and the lack of down regulation. Can't wait for the sx350.

wait. what's the appeal of twisted kanthal again? what's the difference between a twisted 32 gauge and a single thicker wire? I havent read up on that yet, just wondering.

for me it feels like it heats faster then a single wire of equal diameter. also the way it holds juice seems to make it a little tastier. another reason i use it sometimes is just to use up all that 32g wire that's been gathering dust because i wont use it as a single wire. i really like it in dual coil applications because it just feels a little faster and when you have 2 coils that's important. even in single coils like my kayfun at 1.4ish ohms, i have used 28g a lot and when i compare it to a twisted 32g coil of the same resistance, it just seems to be slightly better. i don't know exactly for sure the real differences, and maybe its just in my head, but i feel the flavor is just a bit better. but all in all, basically i have 32, 30, used to have 29, have 28, 27, and 26g wire. if i am doing a dual coil in the resistance range of .8 to 1 ohm on a mech a 28g build is to slow. if i use 30g in that build i feel its not enough wick coverage because of the amount of wraps and to thin of a wire. if i use twisted 30g its to slow(slower then a single 28g and overall to much wire) this now brings me to use a single 32g wire(not gonna happen) so i feel the best is twisted 32g, it gives me the best wick coverage and heat up time for that dual coil scenario. now if i do a dual coil at much lower resistances like .4 ohms, i wouldn't use twisted 32g.

Hahaha I just ordered a new provari mini - gonna be my backup all day device.
And I'm about to order a DNABOX housing and chipset- I'm building my own DNA30.
It's gonna be either that or preorder the ipv50. Neither are an sxchip. I can't find an sxchip mod under 200 dollars and I can't justify spending 200 on a vapor shark when I can build my own DNA30 for under 80 bucks.

Sigelei 30W

Look around. I've seen them for ridiculously low prices.

30W is nothing to sneeze at.

Best price I've seen so far is $89 and change.

Oh no doubt, I doubt I would l use much more than 30w. I'm also the same type of person that's in line at the apple store on launch day.
I'm just like that.
I see it through the eyes where I can built a DNA30 device in roughly 20 minutes once I have all the parts in front of my for about 80-90 dollars in parts - at retail prices.
I would do an SX350 mod if I could find one I like they chipset and it'll be current for a good while. I used a bcmods at 50w (because I could)and that was awesome; other than the fact that it was a boat anchor.
I've just got my mind made up if I could find an sx350 mod for around 100 bucks I'll do it. Other wise I'll build the DNA. Giving myself the weekend to shop and I'll order the parts Monday.
Hopefully Provape will release their next big thing this weekend and I can order whatever with ease. I've been holding out waiting to see what the new p-thingy is gonna be; but, my patience is gone.
It's sad really I'm happy on the provari all day long and a few pulls on the mech at night. But dammit if I'm not a tech geek.

20 ML Kayfun search is over. I didn't think much of it when I saw FastTech https://www.fasttech.com/p/1765001
I bought it just because it was cheap $24.56
Turns out it is a very well made 29.8mm Kayfun Lite Plus that actually holds 20 ML Who would have thought.
Regular size Kayfun deck and chimney.

From left to right:

1. My oldest original Kayfun 3.1 ES --------- 4.5ml
2. EHPro Kayfun 3.1 Clone -------------------4.5ml
3. HCigar Kayfun 3.1 Clone ------------------4.5ml
4. FastTech 30mm Kayfun Lite----------------10ml
5. ToBeCo 28.5mm Kayfun Lite---------------15ml
6. FastTech 29.8mm Kayfun Huge Lite Plus -20ml

Being that I had only heard about a new provari 2 days ago, I figured it was months out. Do you really think it's something that is any day now? It's going to be interesting to see exactly what it is

There's a lot of folks waiting with bated breath for the next P thingy, myself included. That teaser video that Busardo did a couple months ago when he visited Provape's facilities did nothing but fuel the fire..which is what was intended anyway.

10 - 15 - 20ml Kayfuns. Wow! I wish I could get through a single tank on a regular KFL with most of the juices I vape. Since I'm 100% on NETs (Naturally Extracted Tobaccos) that have a tendency to gunk up coils within a couple ml, for the gunkier ones and last a tank or two for the cleaner ones, the bigger sized KFL's would be way overkill in space/juice requirements for day to day usage. They looks seriously cool though along with the bigger devices they are on.

I will give it another crimp while on the mech. I thought I would do a torch crimp (I don't have a gas stove) before attaching it to my KFL to see if i could maximize the compression since you mentioned that was an issue for you.

for me it feels like it heats faster then a single wire of equal diameter. also the way it holds juice seems to make it a little tastier. another reason i use it sometimes is just to use up all that 32g wire that's been gathering dust because i wont use it as a single wire. i really like it in dual coil applications because it just feels a little faster and when you have 2 coils that's important. even in single coils like my kayfun at 1.4ish ohms, i have used 28g a lot and when i compare it to a twisted 32g coil of the same resistance, it just seems to be slightly better. i don't know exactly for sure the real differences, and maybe its just in my head, but i feel the flavor is just a bit better. but all in all, basically i have 32, 30, used to have 29, have 28, 27, and 26g wire. if i am doing a dual coil in the resistance range of .8 to 1 ohm on a mech a 28g build is to slow. if i use 30g in that build i feel its not enough wick coverage because of the amount of wraps and to thin of a wire. if i use twisted 30g its to slow(slower then a single 28g and overall to much wire) this now brings me to use a single 32g wire(not gonna happen) so i feel the best is twisted 32g, it gives me the best wick coverage and heat up time for that dual coil scenario. now if i do a dual coil at much lower resistances like .4 ohms, i wouldn't use twisted 32g.

And the heat-up dwell is my biggest gripe with using thicker wires. If twisting helps then it is worth trying. And I also have way more 32 ga than I'll ever use. Good way to use it up if it works. :)
