This Kayfun build always worked perfectly with cotton for me, but I can't seem to make it work with rayon.
Is there something wrong with my wicking?

Just a guess, but the chimney might be compressing the wick at each end of the coil. Doesn't look like there's much room for the wick to bend down to the deck.
According to the folks at the rayon thread, bending the rayon wick = bad. So those who've had success with rayon in a kayfun have been building the coil perpendicular to the posts (rotate yours 90 degrees), and have the wick just drop down to the juice deck
I did a perpendicular coil yesterday, 5/64" and 9 wraps of 30 gage Kanthal, yielding 1.8 ohms. Wicked with KGD.
It's popping loudly on every hit. The wick was a little skinny, it slipped through the coil with hardly any resistance so I'm thinking that's the problem.

Fortunately I don't seem to have any issues keeping my Rayon setup at an angle, exactly as with my all other K'fun builds.
Yeh me neither. I just use a touch more rayon and wick it exactly the same as I would with cotton.
Then again I've been incredibly blessed by the kayfun gods.
Now if I could just get the taifun gt gods to take pity at my struggle with it. Grumbles.

I'm trying! Haha just 9 more days buddy! I desperately need to get myself home ASAP. My vapemails have been coming in non-stop (casts a side glance at Qorax), and the missus has expressed her displeasure ("don't push your luck buddy").
Unfortunately I have approx 11 more vape mail soon to be dispatched or en route to home so...... Hoping I can get home in time to intercept some of them without her knowing. Grin.

And stay safe meanwhile! I've been there - thus I know whatta hell hole it could be.
And in some respects, it's worse than it has ever been depending on where you are.
