I'm trying! Haha just 9 more days buddy! I desperately need to get myself home ASAP. My vapemails have been coming in non-stop (casts a side glance at Qorax), and the missus has expressed her displeasure ("don't push your luck buddy").

Unfortunately I have approx 11 more vape mail soon to be dispatched or en route to home so...... Hoping I can get home in time to intercept some of them without her knowing. Grin.

Hope all is well with you Bronze!
So excited for you!!!!!!!

This kayfun build always worked perfectly with cotton for me, but I can't seem to make it work with rayon.

Is there something wrong with my wicking?

Although I also bend my raton wicks, my coils aren't in your orientation. It does seem because your coil is sideways it maybe is a bit to much angle for the wick. Also like previous mentioned the chimney may impede the edge of the rayon thus adding to the issue. Can you angle your coil so the wick isn't quite as bent, or is your coil to long? I would also add more rayon in coil compared to the cotton.

Speaking of obscene prices, I've gotten titanium wires to make pretty colors like that, but not Kanthal..

What do you use to twist three strands together? Two is easy, but I have yet to come up with something that works well for three.

I bend and hand twist the 3x 32ga, then put that into my drill's chuck. I use a pair of pliers to hold the other end of the wires and just drill away!

OK, I'm surprised the drill chuck is able to grab it -- maybe I should just try it instead of assuming it can't possibly work? :D

For two strands, I chuck up an allen wrench and just hook the wire on it.

Haha I've never used any additional tool to grab my wires. Even my 2x 32ga. Just bend one end and hand twist it first. My chuck can close up reaaaal tight though, plus it's not like we will need a ton of torque to twist the wires so not much worry about slippage.

It works, I played with it myself too:

how much wattage is needed for good performance of the triple twisted?

Ah. This is probably a matter of personal preference, but 15 watts min is what works for me. The heat up time isn't much of an issue for me, but I like the warmth! Esp with Boba's. Warm Boba's = good Boba's.

Might try it next build. Interesting? ??

Be careful that the coil does not touch one of the screws or posts.

I would expect it would work the same as lifting the coil a little higher off the deck. Lot more vapour, but possible loss in flavour.
