Hell no. The side fill-valve of the v3.1ES is a charm, a design marvel. It is so easy to fill the atty due to that contraption. And never leaks.

If only they could do the same on the KFLs, but they couldn't since there was no space ~ the base's lengths are different here.

Just going by what I read :) I happen to like the fill port on the 3.1's..

You didn't think it was really a Kayfun, did you?

:( Guilty.

On subject.. I'm absolutely loving my Fasttech 30mm Kayfun Lite - I'm thinking about improving a few things like perhaps a plastic bottom fill screw, but overall it's been great. The more angular look of the top cap fits with the vision I've been trying to achieve on top of the Mutant 26650.

I love it too.

^Bingo. That EXACTLY ! Single wick, deck design, perfect! Else it'd become an Aqua, Fogger, Orchid, whatever ~ and that's not a good thing ~ b'coz they are different, work well, but not mind boggling. Kayfun, est 2012, WAS. And thus the others probably wouldn't've happened if Kayfun didn't. All they should do with the new version is tweak the tweakable! And leave their signature features as it is ;)
Hmmmm just suppose SM builds an atty that eliminates the quirks of the Aqua , Fogger etc such as the PITA builds and ridiculously small juice capacity , why not ? If they stand still someone else will and they'll no longer set the standard . I thought I was a cranky , opinionated , set in my ways , old man but some of y'all got me beat . :)

It looks like mine - this is the FT link: $25.88 Kayfun Lite Styled Rebuildable Atomizer Kit (20ml) - stainless steel / 30mm version at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Something I should have mentioned in the last post - I've had a problem with both my KF Lite and KF 3.1 ES clone - I walk to work with them in my pocket/hoodie, vaping occasionally as I walk. Unless I hold my finger over the airhole(s) on both units when they're in my hoodie pocket, they'll leak from the airhole.

Are there any tricks I'm missing that might stop this?

I find that if my wick doesn't cover the slots where the liquid comes in, mine sometimes leak from the air hole. Not packed, just loosely over the slots.

Interesting, I do that too. I was initially leaving the juice channel clear as RipTripper recommends, but it lead to gurgling. My current 1.1ohm nano has the juice channels covered up as normal, plus with a little more cotton than I've normally used, so I might go test it in my pocket and see if it solves the problem.

I completely agree with you. If you consider the length of time they've had to design, engineer and test their new model I'd be willing to bet it'll be a game changer...just like the original was.
agreed, I just couldn't imagine that such a successful tank would never change. every great design always needs to change slightly to stay appealing to the masses. I don't think it should be totally different but I know there are some slight tweaks that would make it better

Guys I need some help... After setting a new microcoil (30gauge, 2mm screwdriver, 1,3ohms) I get a really good vape for about half a tank and then the vape gets really bad... Not burn or dry hits, it's like the cotton needs to be replaced.
What am I doing wrong here?

    Anyone? :(

I've gotten a bad taste from mine when sooty juice has drained back into the tank from the juice deck, but that's only happened with NET liquids.

Have you noticed the juice changing color in the tank?
Do you have the air flow control set for a tight draw?
Are there spaces between the turns of your coil?
How much distance between the coil and the air hole?

Yes,the cotton will burn even when damp. If there is a shortage of juice, the cotton will burn. Clearly, you're not keeping your wick sufficiently saturated. I find running high heat will burn the cotton. It could be this or a multitude of other reasons. Do you use high VG juice?

Guys I'm using rayon. It's wicking great at 20 watts. But when I put my kayfun on the side for more than 5 mins, first hit is dry and scratchy is there any reason for that?
Most likely the tank is not full and when on its side, the one channel is facing up. In this position the pressure inside chamber gets messed up slightly and then takes a vape or two to balance again.

It's not on its side, it's sitting straight. I was just wondering if it's normal. Getting it to wick at 20 watts is great to begin with.
