It did look like quite a bit down on the lower deck. Personally I do like a good amount down there but whenever I rewick, I notice that between the cotton and channel slot, that there is a slight gap. As for cotton amounts in coil, when I rewick and pull the old one out it has a good bit of resistance as it doesn't just easily slide out. I mean it's not so tight that it moves the coil, or that I have to cut the tails to remove, but it definitely doesn't just pull out super easy. I try to obtain the most amount of cotton in coil without it being so tight it prevents juice flow. Good luck

Perfect description. This is how I cut it...

I received the centerpin today and so far I cannot recommend it. Suspicions are correct -- you cannot torque the pin down enough to avoid the deck from rotating. I mean, it's completely loose. Since placing my order, the manufacturer added a recommendation to cut off a piece of insulator and jam it between the negative post and the positive block. Whatever. I will not be doing this anytime soon. And from playing around with it, it's very easy to cross-thread, which I obviously want to avoid.

This would have been awesome if the threaded section were not sliced up. Or he should have included a piece of delrin or peek if jamming up the blocks is the only way to make this design work.

So, this highflow center pin is not a direct, easy alternative to the stock centerpin as I had hoped. it requires a hack to fix a design flaw and I cant respect that enough to bother. I'd rather not increase the risk of a short or my kayfun becoming disabled away from home.

Thumbs down.

Oh well, mine should be here either tomorrow or the next day. I'm glad that I read this first. There's 10 bucks down the drain.

Perhaps, I'll wait until I need to change a coil on one of my KFLs and toy with it.

sorry bro. like you I thought it would be a pretty good thing, especially because I have somewhat enlarged everything else and this would of completed the modding.

Here it is see above.
Of the ones that you have listed the one from Amazon looks to be the only choice, tapered plastic is want is needed.
(If the tip is small enough)

The bottle's tip on the left is too small, the one on the right is correct.

My reco is this:

Ordinary syringe from nearest pharmacy. 16ga needle. Cut it to 1cm, square and smooth tip with sandpaper. This one is a 3ml syringe but for Kayfun 3.1's I'd use a 5ml one.

I used to use just the basic plastic syringes until I bought a Pyrex one. It's like so smooth and effortless compared to plastic. Also when removing juice it's like the dyson, never looses suction.

That's illegal here in the nanny state. My friend required a syringe to irrigate around some dental work. Had to have a prescription just to get one with a blunt tip needle. But for places where you aren't protected from yourself they're a nice cheap option.

No farmers store around? They sell syringes all day long.
