Yes. They are about an 1/8" thick (perhaps a shade less) and are aprox. 2" x 3" pads . They have a thin, compressed layer on each side. Most people peel those compressed layers off so they are left with nice, fluffy Japanese cotton. They cut off a strip (aprox 3/16" wide give or take), roll it, feed it through their coil, trim and paste to the deck and off you go. It has excellent wicking properties with minimal/no flavor break-in period.

Yes there are...what I do is split the pad in half (thickness wise) then cut wicks using the half thickness. I find them very easy to use
It's an excellent wick with the added benefit (over cotton ball) that it is easy to measure out the same size wick and expect the same result each and every time.

I'm not trying Rayon because I'm not sure of the safety. I'm mostly sure it is fine but I have no problems with Japanese cotton so I'm sticking with that until it doesn't work anymore.

Anyways after attending vapesummit, im back in the vape game and just now dipping into these "Japanese cotton". I tagged along with my g/f since she was going to sephora and so i could get the koh gen do stuff to only find out they dont carry them in-store.
So i went to amazon and ordered another brand of japanese cotton http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TCD51A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 anyone ever used this? this the same as the stuff recommended? Its funny cause all the reviews from it are from vapers but most of them using RDA's lol.
