I just ordered 2 kayfun Lite clones yesterday. I can't wait to see what these will do for me. I've been using genny rba's for quite some time now and its time for a change. I plan on using silica first. I have 28, 30 and 32g Kanthal and a few different sizes of silica to play with. What is everyone using on these?

I'm using 32 kanthal with a 7/8 wrap and organic cotton and it works pretty well. I would suggest organic cotton over wick and mesh. Never been a fan of either

Not so sure for a mech mod. I am using regulated mods, although the VTR will fire down to .5ohm. That being said, it is my experience with the KFL+ that it will be really good with pretty much anything you throw at it. I am currently using a 3 strand 32ga twisted micro coil at 1ohm. I had to toy a bit with wicking and air flow to properly feed the beast, but it is working just fine now that that is figured out.

I have also done 28ga and 30ga coils with no problems and good performance as well.

Could you please shouw a picture of 2 microcoils on Kayfun? Is it too warm? I like more the cold vapor or lets say not really hot.

I can.

But that's not the most impressive one I've seen.......... this is....

I have no idea how well it works, but the craftsmanship is really impressive.

I want to use silica because I find that cotton needs to be replaced too often. I'm using cotton now in my gennies and I have to replace it every 2 tank fills. I will try cotton later I'm sure. Might try 32g on my first builds and see how it works. I only use 100% PG liquids also.
I've been experimenting with different builds over the past few days, and I've really come to like a chimney coil with 28g and a double barrel micro coil also with 28g, both with organic cotton. I actually would not suggest 32 I had to use it again today cause I ran out of 28g and not having 28 made me realize how dinky the 32g is. Watch RIPTripper on you tube's video on the chimney and double barrel builds.

I ordered 2 and only got one today... .....! I emailed him and thankfully he still had the other. When I ordered them he only had 4 left in stock when I ordered the 2. Soon after my order, he was sold out. He better have my second one shipped today. I use 2 different liquids and use one liquid a day. I hate swapping liquids in the same device but I want to use the Kayfun. My first set up was with 2mm silica folded 3 times with the loops sucking the liquid with 32g kanthal. Its burning at 2.2Ω but I think I want lower.

If you want your cottom to last long get some BioWick. Mine lasts forever. Ive never had to replace the wick until the coil needed dry burning. I vaped an entire 50ml of VapeDudes Cool Melon 12mg 50/50 and the cotton and coil wasnt even brown

Also i use 28ga kanthal 8-10 wraps on a 1/16th drill bit for a nice long coil. I remove two strands of cottom from the BioWick and i do the standard "S" shape with wick where my coil is angled, 2mm above deck and wicks laying flat on juice deck.

My problem with 28g (Which seems to be the most popular) is the amount of time it takes to heat up.

If you built two coils of the same ohm, one with 28g and one with 30g, the 30g coil will heat up faster. The wire itself has a higher electrical resistance so it will heat faster even though both coils have the same ohm reading.
