Hello Blong,

I have been using Kgo batteries since Mid May and I also bought my set up from Hoosiers.

Try some of these- EGO Vision clearomizers LR 2.1-2.4ohm

I'm not understanding this. The OP says his hits taste burnt, and you are suggesting an attachment of even lower resistance than what he is currently using, which would generate more heat at the coil, not less.

I also do not understand the widespread reluctance to try variable voltage for $22.

I still don't understand the calculations of all the ohms watts etc but I almost pulled the trigger and got the twist instead of the kgo. The only reason I got this kgo is the size, i've read that the twist looks like a bazooka lol. This 1100mAH kgo is the biggest i'd want to carry around.

You can always buy a twist to add into your rotation.

I think you did fine going with the Kgo's simply because they provide a nice long vape time and they start out at 4.1 watts off the charger and vape strong all day long.

I will probably add a twist to my rotation soon but they are not good for taking with you when you leave the house. I can take a fully charged Kgo to work with me and I NEVER have to worry about it not making it through the day.

I actually did buy 1 of the 2.1-2.4 visions when I ordered my KGO. I can't taste any flavor from it. I'm using NLV Bounty Hunter at 18mg in it, and it tastes completely muted to me. The draw is clean, the vapor is good but it's just bland.

Have you considered a variable voltage battery so you can adjust the wattage at the coil to accommodate a wide variety of attachments, resistances, and juices?

I don't understand it either cuz I have 6 of them in rotation and I have not burned any juice with mine EVER.

The reason I don't have any twist batteries yet is I don't like the short vape time on the Kgo sized 650 and the larger battery is to long for me.

I will most likely get a 650 Twist but just to screw around with at home.

If you get two Twists, you can screw around with them when you're out and about.

Well good for you.

I don't have all this back up at home so if I use up all my power while I am at work and out and about I can just fire up my Antari M-8 fog machine - 110 volts - 1,800 watts - 50,000 CFM
Backup: Smoktech VMax, Woo, e-Power 14650. Joyetech eGo's, 18650 mod's when I get home with 2 dead batteries.

Why don't you send me that Vmax and then I won't have to worry about that happening?

Sorry, you can't have my VMax. I use it sometimes just for kicks.

I think it is that GG video you keep linking to that puts people off. I take anything he says with a grain of salt.

Also, I have two of the 1000mah Twists and love them, but I wouldn't recommend someone spend more money on batteries when they have relatively new kGo's.

The Altcig CE3's come in 2 resistances. I use the 2.4-2.6 version from Discount Vapers on my eGo Twists with AVE VG juice all day long at 4 volts with no burnt taste. If you go up to 4.2 they do taste funky and burnt.

Aren't the kGo's in the 4.2 range off the charger? If so, I think we can safely bet that the wicks are getting burnt.

And I do recommend it. The Twist is inexpensive, and variable voltage is great.

As for the Grimm Green video, I'll stop posting it when I'm instructed to do so by the very fine moderators of this site.

I happen to agree with him that at the present time, the Twist is an essential part of anyone's gear, regardless of experience level. What people might be most "put off" by is that there's an arguably superior alternative to their favorite battery. There is a good reason I'm about to buy a boatload of Twists, and not a boatload of kGo's.

I wasn't saying for you not to post it, just that it gets annoying.

At this point I'm surprised it isn't part of your signature.

Look again.

And nothing is inherently "annoying", as it is your choice whether or not to become "annoyed".

I just want people to enjoy the clear benefits of variable voltage at a very affordable price, from a pioneer in the industry.

GG is inherently annoying.

No, I think you allow him to annoy you. He doesn't annoy me, so maybe he isn't universally, inherently annoying. I think he provides a great service to the vaping community, and is informative, unbiased, and entertaining.

But maybe you should post on one of his vdeos that you think he's inherently annoying, instead of just bad-mouthing him here.

Maybe some of these reviewers will annoy you less:

Dear OP,

I too have a KGO and I can tell you firsthand that the Stardust (Ego Vision Clearomizer is the official name of it) is a piece of crap on the KGO. Due to minor variations on the battery connector the airflow is choked off and they have many many many flaws that make them satisfying for anything longer than a few day. For the price they are not worth it. However, a Vision Vivi Nova with an ego 510 to 510 adapter (also called a 510 cone adapter) for cosmetic reasons (it streamlines the look - if you don't have one your PV will have a depression under the tank which makes it look silly) fitted with a low resistance atomizer head is going to be your best bet IMO. You can rebuild them, they can be fitted with a steel tank, and you can control the resistance. They recently started selling rebuildable stardusts, but one of my major complaints besides the airflow issue (tight draw) is the fact that the tanks crack constantly and there is no way to repair them that looks good. It basically comes down to huge globs of silicone sealer put on the outside of the tank. They claim they are now unbreakable but then right next to that they have tank replacements for sale. Now why would they have those if they never broke? They break, that's why. On top of all that, because of the stiff draw you end up cooking the atomizer for so long that it heats up the center post and cooks your juice which will darken it and make it basically unvapeable in the stardust. Even a boge cartomizer has a little trouble vaping it. Stardusts are so a few months ago. BTW: if it doesn't say rebuildable stardust in the title of the product then it is not rebuildable at all. The first generation could be taken apart and rebuilt, which is why I invested in them in the first place, but I got 2nd gen stardusts and actually broke a couple trying to get them apart the same way as the first gen ones were taken apart. Fail.
