I've gone through a whole pack of Wow Nuport in 2.5 days! Not that I've vaped that much, but I keep getting that burnt taste way quicker than is reasonable.

I've been rotating some of my new batteries, and I've read that they have a higher power (ohm?) thingy when first charged, and the burnt taste seems to come when I change to a new battery. The diamonds seem to be the biggest culprit, but not the only ones. I keep going for a while cos I've also read that sometimes the burnt flavour can pass, but it doesn't. Other cartos aren't doing it, but I am mainly on Nuport at the moment.

Question, is this likely to be due to the batteries or do you occasionally get a pack of cartos that burn out quicker than usual?

Katz, when you vape it down a bit try to taste the carto change..there is a short period before the That tastes Gawd awful..
It's a almost burned marshmallow taste, not horrid just distasteful. I think that's what you mean. Try to refill right then and see if the taste goes back to normal. Once you have hit the gawd awfull taste..just toss that puppy out the window!

I don't refill, only use pre-filled cartos. I do chain vape though, comes of having been an office worker having to suck the nicotine in during tea & lunch breaks  I don't vape indoors, so I'm doing stuff inside (likle spending way too much time here), then go outside and vape for a while, probably 2-3 cigarettes worth. At night I go out to vape during tv commercial breaks for like 1/2 a cigarette at a time. Is that what's doing it? Sucking too many times, too often? Wahh!

There's still heaps of vapour, but it tastes too awful to continue. Haven't had this problem before, but this pack I have totally killed, each carto has lasted 2-3 vape breaks.

Hmmm. So what do I do? Have 2 batts & cartos going at once??? Take longer breaks between puffs?

Have you tried opening the carto and peeking inside? Does it look like burnt liquid or is it very dry? Maybe an underfilled batch went out /shrug.

My last set of prefilled seemed to not last quite as long as in the past, but I'm an OCD refiller. :) I use the prefilled the most when I'm out and about and/or driving. I can usually get a continuous 1/2 hour out of a prefilled carto. I'm so "high" by the time I get to work lol.

I would suggest having 2 batteries going and rotating them so they wont overheat. Vaping how you describe seems like you arent waiting long enough for the carto to cool down before taking another draw. I would reccomend trying the Cool Carts.. They seem to last longer flavorwise (to me at least).

It depends how long your draw is, and the pace you are drawing.. I noticed the long and slow draws are not only more satisfying, they are easier on the carto too...

There are alot of factors involved. But, I am in the same boat. I only use prefilled and toss them.. I just burnt through a carto in less than an hour chain vaping which does not suprise me at all... I guess topping off wouldnt be a bad idea, to save some money it would take each cart 2 or 3 days to toss that way I assume.

Mind you I just switched back to KR808 from an eGo, because I hate dealing with juices. Reason I went to an eGo was that I did not like battery life on 808's and the ego lasted 1 day on a charge... but the 808 improved over time and now im back... Cartoz are the easiest way to vape and stay vaping which keeps you off analogs..

So all in all, slow and long draws with cool down time will lengthen carto flavor and allow juice flow in carto..

I keep anywhere from 3 to six going at all times! I only need to refill once every couple of days. I might sugest you look for Glycerin at your local drug store..Chemist whatever. Or at a market. Look for USP on the label. It's the same as plain V.G. and will at least moisten the carto fiber fill so it doesn't burn as fast. Drop a couple of drops in halfway thru your vaping session. plus the vapor will be outstanding!

I think you are right. I had been sort of aware that something had changed with the way I vape this week, though I hadn't connected the two things. Now I realise I have made full conversion to being a vaper not a smoker, somehow I was 'going for it' full out. Slow & long, that's what I need to get back to. Hopefully that'll solve the problem, and I won't have to add glycerin or have multiple batteries on the go.

Thanks everyone!

Ms. Katz another issue is the fact Wow cartos don't hold as much juice as the cool cartos. When you combine that with lower ohm's (resistance) and a fully charged king diamond it's a perfect recipe for going through the carto quickly. This is where juicing comes in handy. You really get your money's worth if you refill the wow cartos.... And sadly the cool cart version of nuport doesn't stack up to the wow version, so switching to cool carts would not be the best option.....

Katz, looks like everyone has pretty much covered your question but I have noticed that different flavors last for different time periods. For instance I do the Premium Cool Carts 18mg Kamel Menthol and Smilin Menthol. The Smilin seems to last MUCH longer. Now whether that's because I'm just vaping it less often I don't know. :)
