I also would have to agree with the review ... Got my KISSBOX today in the post and it is LEAPS and bound above and beyond my Smartfixx pen style i got the other day ... got 60 cartridges of mixed flavours as well from janty ... thus far Marlboro is great and when I add a drop of the Kick Menthol (or pillboxes when it arrives in the mail) It tastes similar (but not quite exactly) to a Newport ... my smoky treat brand of choice. I knew from the start that I was in for a treat though when I broke off the Bubble wrap and saw the quality of the packaging alone.GREAT packaging ... GREAT device ... Mine is titanium as my smartfixx is black and I like variety . Guess I will be getting a lot of that though with all the new flavours from Janty! A++

You ordered 60 carts?

Did you folk in the US know that it's a condition of your warranty that you only use Janty juice with your hardware?

I'm gobsmacked ... I can't believe it ... that is so greedy. The short guarantee already makes Janty expensive but to force customers to buy their juice is outrageous in my opinion.

Ruyan do that too, you have to use their cartridges to keep the guarantee.

How do you feel about being stuck with having to use just Janty juice?

Kate - I downloaded the manual from EU Janty - the guarantee on the EU website refers to use as indicated in the manual. On a quick reading, the manual doesn't require (or even advise) the use of Janty cartridges or liquid. I have no reason to doubt what you've found on the Janty USA site and couldn't agree more with your conclusion.

I don't know if you've noticed the watermark on the Janty manual - it reads "RuyanExpress.com".

Are Ruyan and Janty the same company?

Kate, you are the best. Fight for our rights! Guess it would be really hard for anyone to prove that you did or did not use their juice, kind of a moot subject if you think about it. But could have been an excuse used to refuse warranty replacement. I haven't seen that being the case. I haven't had a question if I have had an issue.

WOW!! my manual switch has just died. Not a week old yet.:(

I can beat that! After 1 hour the plastic/rubber switch disappeared without trace inside the case. Jammed the switch in the on position - good job I was awake and quickly unscrewed the battery before the atomiser blew up!

My only complaint though (so far!). The auto is great, the battery life is excellent & the 'vape' is very good.

I've just received some new manual switches from Janty Europe. Harry sent me ones that have no hole where eliquid can get in and kill them (I told him I ruined some switches by dripping). They look more durable than the other ones I've had too, the button is a wee bit more springy to the touch.

Harry also replaced an atomiser I had that was wimpy. I told him that I wasn't sure if the warranty still applied because I had cleaned it in isopropyl alcohol which had stripped the paint but he sent me one anyway. It's one of the new two hole atomisers, when I've had a chance to try it I'll report back on how it compares with the older one I have.

I'm still using my USB battery which works out very cost effective to use. When my ordinary batteries guarantee runs out I won't have to worry about expensive replacements, the USB one is very cheap from Dealextreme - DealExtreme: $4.32 Ultra Fire 10440 3.6V 500mAh 2Pack. I don't bother to plug the USB cord in, I just recharge the battery and swap it over when it runs down. The trailing one metre wire is a little awkward but it doesn't bother me.

Wow! Can't believe I made it all the way through this thread! :D At least no-one can say I haven't done my research....

First post here; I just wanted to thank everyone for relating their experiences. I only heard about e-cigs recently, and it took a while to find decent info on the web. It's great to finally find a forum where the english isn't broken, and the posters can make it through a 50+ page thread (!) without derailing each other! (although, yes - I have seen some of the other threads.... ;)

So thanks again; it makes a big difference to find a resource where I can see lots of different people's experience with e.g. something as (relatively) expensive as the Janty models - seeing how they've improved, how long they're likely to last, and what the company have done about the problems. It seems clear that e-cigs are a new and temperamental technology, and it appears equally clear that companies that quickly revise & improve their products based on feedback, are better able to take advantage of this emerging market. :thumb:

Question about the Janty Kissbox Classic...is it any longer than a generic pen style e-cig because of the switch? Or is the battery shorter and therefore the whole length is still about equal to a pen style?
havnt had one for months, but i seem to recall the battery is a bit shorter, and the kissbox is roughly the size of any other pen style...as far as i remember it feels a little lighter than a generic though...

Well I've been using the new two hole atomiser for a couple of days now and thought I'd report back. It does what my four hole atomiser did when it was new, it uses loads of juice and cooks the flavour. I'm hoping it will settle down in time because it seems to have an easy draw and is efficient, maybe a bit too efficient.

The new manual switches are good, I haven't had any problems yet but haven't tried dripping with them either so I have yet to see how that goes. The new version doesn't have a hole where juice can enter so should be ok.
