Right Kate I've never really had much trouble regarding the switches in general .I've had a few go slightly bad but still work. So I normally send these back for replacements. Its the atomiser itself which can be quite annoying. Which work better than any other I have found. But after two weeks the life tends to go out of them. And I've tried various cleaning methods with these and nothing really works.

FINALLY ordered a Janty Kissbox Classic Extended kit with another bottle of French Pipe tobacco to add to my hundred other liquids...can't wait!! It took forever to take the plunge but finally I had to check it out. I ordered all parts in titanium. I just hope I don't regret not ordering another spare atomizer right now, but I'm sure I'll be good for a while. Plus, when I do need a new one, they ship so fast and I have other e-cigs so no problemo! I can't wait to add a new type of device to my 901 and Bling...such a great diverse group of e-cigs if you had to pick just 3...there's a good one for any kind of mood, situation, or taste you want. I hope I can add to the positive reviews in this thread..I'll post back in 2-3 days! Can't wait to try that manual switch and USB-E cable!!

I'm the other way round Ned, I've had trouble with switches ... buttons getting stuck and the like but my atomisers just get better with age. For me, when they're new they are too harsh, loose the flavour and use more juice. I have a nice mellow one now that's about a month or two old and it's just right for me.

I have had really good luck with Janty atomizers and manual switch but am about fed up with the batteries. First there is the whole voodoo ritual with the initial charge. If you get past that, you have to ignore the charger when the light turns green and leave it to charge a few more hours. They last the day when new but after a couple of months of use I have been cycling through two or three a day. A pain since you have to charge them so long. I had planned to buy more batteries and an extra switch from Janty but thought better of it and ordered a pen style from Puresmoker for less than I planned to spend. Since even the premium e-cigs wear out after a few months use, I figure these things are disposable so it is best to buy a mid-priced brand.

Hi Brian, I think that after the initial long charge you only need to keep them on until the green light comes on, it's a pity that they aren't lasting for you though. If they are less than three months old they are still covered by guarantee, why not ask Jeff if you can have some good ones? Harry at Janty Europe recently swapped an atomiser for me that was just wimpy and I'd even tried to clean it in isopropyl alcohol and stripped the paint. He was fine about it and replaced it with no problems.

It's interesting how we all have different weaknesses with our Kissboxes, I wonder if it's to do with different technique.

The batteries don't last long at all unless you charge them several hours past the green light comming on. Overnight is best. I thought about sending them back and still may but it got me thinking about what I'm going to do when the warranty runs out. I don't mind buying parts regularly but if I do, I certanly don't want to have to pay premium prices.

It is not that the batteries go completely dead. The voltage or current must drop after a couple of hours because I can definitly see a drop in smoke production. At first I thought it was my atomizer but pop in a fresh battery and it gets back to normal.

Don't get me wrong, I like my Kissbox. But I have bought two atomizers and two extra batteries for it so far. Now I need to replace all my batteries soon. Just begining to think, like Trog, that all e-cigs are disposable so why pay premium prices. Besides, I have been wanting to try Cash's penstyle for a while anyway but waited until he got a black penstyle.

Judging from comments here, variation is production quality control might be a problem – but, as Kate says, it might be down to how we’re using the device.

I haven’t experienced a problem apart from having a DOA battery. I emailed Janty and there was no problem in them agreeing to replace it. I hope it’s in the post as I write.

One of the things that might lead to a greater range of experiences with the Janty KB is the USB. Using it saves me having to re-charge the batteries so often but others may not be at a computer as often as I am and use their batteries more.

If I was to suggest a change to the Janty rig it would be to make the USB battery box detachable so that a more powerful power box could be attached – one with 2 (or more) batteries more able to deliver the power a fully charged battery delivers but can maintain that power for longer.

The use of a standard re-chargeable battery in the battery box is a good one – I’m just suggesting it could be improved.

Once you’re “smoking by wire” the size of the battery box doesn’t really matter.

Well, I'm at a computer all day so the USB may be a good solution to my problem. I really don't think it is a quality control problem as all the batteries I received were good, but they are clearly inferior to Njoy batteries. They charge much quicker and last longer.

For comparison purposes, I am a heavy smoker and take long deep drags on my Kissbox. At the first hint of burnt taste I add a couple of drops of juice to the atomizer, about every 6 or 8 drags. Then I'm good for 15 or 20 minutes and I start the process over. I use Janes juice 24mg with e-cig.com carts and have had no real problems with atomizers once I stopped using JC juice.

It is Quite funny really as I prefer how the kiss box performs when new as I feel this what makes this so special to other brands or models but we all have different preferences and opinions and I am not trying to be sarcastic in any way with what I am trying to say here.

One tip .to try if anybody prefers a less lively atomiser and not cooking the liquid as quick is to try using a Generic two hole atomiser or a four hole RN series atomiser with Janty manual switch and battery . And you will probably find this will perform how you like it. More for those that prefer a less harsh performance. It works perfectly also producing a less easier draw but still performs very well without you feeling your sucking your brains out try it. It works.

Thanks Kate.
Just to let know my background, I have been smoking normal cigarettes for 15 years. After buying the gamucci micro last week (from a local shop), I stopped smoking immediately. Having never heard of these e-cigs, I loved them immediately. That seemed a deal but going through this forum it seems that gamucci are not popular and expensive compare to other e-cigs, although I am quite happy for now and still saving money. 1 cartridge per day I buy it for 2 euros (pack of 5 is 10 euros), while a normal packet from here is 3.6 euros.
