KISS Boxes... WOW!!

Yeah, it is. Before discovering e-cigarettes, I tried using herbal vaporizers to cut down on smoking at home, at least. I would mix a bit of green tea with my tobacco before vaporizing in the morning, and got such a great caffine kick out of it. Then, at night I would mix in a llittle chamomile, to help me sleep.

Leaford, did you like the herbal vaporizers? I was reading up on them a couple of months ago - just never bought one.

Great for herbs, but too cumbersome and difficult for tobacco. You spend too much time loading and reloading, and get a TON of dried, used up tobacco to dispose of. And it's easy to overheat it and get smoke anyway.

Hey Gang, I'm thinking about ordering the KISSBOX classic and was just wondering a few things.
A. It says you get 5x cartridges, is that 5 boxes of carts. or just five period?
B. Do you get to choose the flavors in that 5?
C. I smoke about a pack a day now, (menthol lights), how long do the HD carts last and how many extras orders of cartidges should I order to be cost effective?
D. Has anyone tried using cartidges from other sites or using E-Liquid in The Ruyan catridges?
E. I live in the US, do I need to get a converter for the plug?

Sorry, I know that's alot of info requested, but the more I ask the more info gets shared with everyone!

A. When I received my KISS, there where 4 boxes or cartidges included, a total of 20.

B. You do get to choose flavors, not sure they have all of them in stock.

C. I smoked about the same as you. I use 1 and a half cartridge a day now.
Also do buy extra cartridges because it makes no difference on the shipping cost. Their cartridges are the best I ever used.
Way better than E-cig or NJOY.

D. I tried the E-liquid, it's horrible.

E. Yes you need a little converter for the plug, we had one laying around, they might cost a couple of bocks if that.

you mean refilling them with e-cigs liquid?thats the liquid most of us have anyway,and i seem to recall dr.jim saying it worked fine-but is it kind to your atomiser?im not so sure..there are a limited number of liquid suppliers(on ebay etc),and most of them seem to be just resellers of e-cigs liquid anyway.a knowledgeable person on another forum says he thinks e-cigs liquid is bad for all atomisers(this guy helped design the kissbox),so who knows,maybe its time to try and branch out a little.however,i hear good things about freesmoke.coms liquid,but you are gonna have to pay for that,its pretty expensive!i think the main thing is that even with shipping e-cig are still comparatively cheap-you get a lot of stuff for your cash-and everyone loves a perceived bargain-long term tho im not so sure that its such a bargain(not to mention their crap customer service)...other suppliers are emerging,like partysmoker liquid-dont know what its like yet.as for cartridges-cant help you there im afraid-im still waiting on my kissbox,so i dont know what fits it yet.anyway,my plan is to try and use janty cartridges in my kissboxs as much as i can for awhile anyway,and use e-cig liquid for my cigar and mini and other cigs.i cartainly wont be drysmoking the kissbox-its too expensive to risk-and to tell you the truth i hate drysmoking anyway.

I'm more than a little interested in the KISS Box (particularly, I'd like the Yentl or the Cigarrilo when they come out) but wary after reading some of the posts here.

Particularly, I feel concern about the button on the manuals. This is the design I think would be most appealing to me, as it would give me a measure of control over the e-cig. It sounds, however, that the button comes off quite easily and can lead to permanent damage to the unit. Is this the case? Also, have the problems with the USB been fixed?

I know the units haven't been out for very long, but if there is a chance anyone has "stress tested" their device (drip smoking, prolonged use, etc) that would be really neat.

Some clients have had problems with switches and USB-E cables while others work perfectly :?

The current switches have a safety microchip inside, which prevents you from pushing the switch for longer then 6 seconds: power will automatically shut off after 6 seconds continued pushing in order to not overheat the atomizer.

BUT: apparently it makes the battery react slow, or in some cases "goes Chinese" (meaning it does not work for some unexplainable reason) so we have taken this chip out in the new batch of switches and USB-E cables that will arrive Monday 9 June in the Netherlands. These new ones should be simply straight forward and work as they are supposed to work.

To be on the safe side our dispatch will send anyone who should have a problem with previous switches or USB-E cables a free complete renewed USB-E cable, renewed manual switch and renewed auto switch and of course Harry will add freebies like extra cartridges to apologize if you have encountered this issue.

This means, for those who have received these replacements, that from then on whenever you push the manual switch it will give full power for as long as you push and therefore care should be taken not to push for more than 6 seconds at a time to avoid the atomizer from getting too hot. In between puffs you should take a short break to let the atomizer cool down a bit. But that is standard procedure with any e-cigarette of course.

It also means that from then on, when carrying the KISS e-cigarette, it would be suitable to unscrew all parts instead of putting the whole KISS e-cigarette (with manual switch connected) into your pocket because the switch could be pushed accidentally for a long time which would then result in a overheating atomizer.

While I'm sad to hear that the 6-second safety feature will no longer work on new models, I'm greatly relieved that Ruyan/JANTY have the situation so well in hand. Since the device will require dismantling, I guess this means I'll have to order a cool looking case to carry my Yentyl with me.

Actually, it comes with a cool case for it. And, I don't know if this was deliberate, but mine were color coordinated; a silver case with my Titanium Classic, and a black case with my Black Yentyl.

yep.. I couldn't stand reading all those posts about the KISSBOX and although the price was a major turn down, I finally gave up and ordered one (with 40 extra cardridges). Oh well, I hope it won't be a dissapointment.. I'm sure it won't... It's just a lot of money for 'a cigarette'
Anyways, enough of bad-mouthing, thanks to all of you for giving such great and detailed reviews, it really does help to see stuff like that. And I also liked a lot how Ruyan got involved in this thread and seeing first hand their custom support, and their generosity towards leaford (I really feel for you, seriously!).
I ordered a titanium one (manual switch and second battery black). And now, I can't wait!
I'll tell you how it feels once I get it (hopefully, soon...).. Did anyone in Canada order the KISSBOX and received it already and can tell me how many days it took to arrive? please tell me it's more or less a week!! (yn).

p.s.: I'm new to e-smoking, just heard about it for the first time two weeks ago, got my first e-cig (super cigarette RN4081) less than a week ago, it was great at first, but after 'wasting' 20 cardridges in 5 days, with a cardridge lasting sometimes less than 5 drags and not much vapor/flavor, very inconsistent... I got fed up.. the KISSBOX seems to be the next necessary step for me in e-smoking. I hope I'll enjoy it more than the super cigarette!

Did anyone in Canada order the KISSBOX and received it already and can tell me how many days it took to arrive? please tell me it's more or less a week!! (yn).

I'm in Canada and my KISS box was shipped on May 30th. I am hoping to get it today. I emailed Harry to find out which shipper they use. He told me they ship with TNT and when the order arrives in Canada they use Canada Post. He told me he tracked my order and that it was in Canada. So if I get it today it will have taken a week. I hope so. I will let you know when it arrives, along with my impressions.

My Kissbox Classic has arrived and everything you guys said is true, it really is the best so far. The USB makes a huge difference too. I have tried Njoy, Sedansa, E-Cig pen and cigar models and this is definitely an improvement. Just a personal taste criticism is that I find the flavour slightly harsh but have added some Freesmoke apple flavour liquid and it has livened up the taste. One reason I think the USB improves things is that it is less weighty to handle and so is easier to hold between the fingers like an old fashioned cigarette. Service was great too.
Other suppliers need to take notice of how things are moving forwards with the Janty models because we all have higher expectations now.
