The Korean Ministry of Health issued a press release on 2012-01-20 condemning e-cigarettes. It published an outline analysis of 121 samples of e-liquid in which it reports that the majority of samples contained toxic levels of pthalates, acetaldehyde, and formaldehyde - some of which it characterises as 'found in nuclear rooms' or that 'block male hormones, mimicking female hormones'.​

According to this representation, e-cigarette users must suffer from nuclear industry diseases and, if male, become neutered. Strangely, none of the millions of e-cig users who consume these materials (presumably in large quantities) have reported this, and neither have their doctors.​

In should also be noted that no other laboratory in the world has reported dangerous levels of these contaminants, including the FDA laboratory, which is certain to have tested the same brands. Despite hundreds (if not thousands) of tests of e-cigarettes, significant levels of these chemicals are not previously reported, even by labs run by opponents of e-cigarettes.

Now I must go and pick up some nice pink heels to go with my mantyhose and mantybra.

No wonder why some juice companies get glowing reviews. its nuclear lol.

I dunno why they insist on condemning the industry as a whole, instead of the the actual manufacturers who supposedly include toxic chemicals into their juices. It's not like formaldehyde is an essential ingredient for crying out loud.

I dont believe they found anything imho. I think its a scare tactic to get people to go back to smoking which is much much healthier :rolls eyes:

I read about this a few weeks ago....interestingly enough I also learned the Korean government has a giant stake (and at one time controlled) the country's tobacco industry.

I'm calling shenanigans on the Korean so called "health" Ministry.

But this is so characteristic of the Korean government, specifically North Korea, so this does not surprise me at all.. I have seen some independent and news documentaries done on the practices of their government .. the info revealed was shocking to say the least.

Watching a whole nation of people bow down in fear to some fool sporting an 80's blow back and dark shades as though he was God was heartbreaking. Oppression is an understatement.

If North Korea said it - I wouldn't be surprised. But they don't even issue statements on the weather.

South Korea is a completely modernized western country with a functioning and healthy democracy and a strong healthy culture and economy.

Of course - they've submitted to the UN's WHO. So same drivel as hc and fda - just a slightly different take.
