Hmmm.... I'll have to try that next time I need a resistor from Radio Shack. "I would like a 27R resistor rated at P25 and see what kind of blank stare I get??? Its ohms and watts, not R & P. This might look good on a schematic that has been photocopied, but it is no spec. Merely a representation of a spec.

That's some logic you've got there.

The "R" is used as a short-hand form. I don't speak in short-hand, so I would never say "R" in a real conversation with someone.

I've made my point; there's nothing to gain by trying to convince anyone here.
